Enhanced communication and interpersonal abilities by interacting with students from different schools.
Developed responsibility and organization by handling logistics.
Gained valuable exposure to high-level competitions.
Embraced the spirit of collaboration and inclusivity as gracious hosts.

From ensuring smooth transitions between venues to reading out rules, managing time, assisting with meals, and creating a welcoming environment, our students truly rose to the occasion!

Looking Ahead

With such an inspiring debut, we are excited to make STEAMphony an annual tradition—continuing to empower students as leaders while fostering a love for STEAM learning in the larger community.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making STEAMphony 2025 a resounding success!

Harmony Unplugged: A Musical Evening with Parents

Music has the power to bring people together, and Harmony Unplugged was a perfect testament to that! This special event saw our talented parents and teachers take the stage, creating an evening filled with melodious performances, heartfelt connections, and shared passion for music. The atmosphere was electric, yet intimate, as performers poured their hearts into every note, making it a night to cherish.

This year’s Harmony Unplugged theme, Melodies and Memories, beautifully captured the essence of the evening. Music is not just about sound—it is a journey through time, evoking nostalgia, emotions, and treasured moments. Each performance carried a piece of the past, weaving together stories that resonated deeply with the audience.

From Tamil classics like Kanmani Anbodu to the soulful Telugu devotional song Brahmam Okate, composed by the saint Annamacharya, and a mix of various genres, the event was a celebration of diverse musical traditions. Every song carried an emotion, a story, and a memory—bringing the audience together through a shared love for music. Some performances had the audience swaying, while others left them misty-eyed.

As voices filled the room, there was an unspoken understanding that music is more than just sound; it is a bridge between generations, experiences, and emotions.

To bring the evening to a close, the school music team delivered a heartfelt cover of Alvida, a poignant and fitting finale that left the audience in awe, carrying the emotions of the evening long after the music stopped.  As the final notes faded, the evening didn’t end there. Conversations flowed over delicious food, as parents and educators lingered, sharing reflections, laughter, and the joy of having been part of something special. It was the perfect way to wrap up a night filled with music, memories, and connection.

The event was not just about performances but about celebrating our vibrant school community, where parents, educators, and staff came together to create something truly memorable. The joy of performing, the warmth of encouragement, and the spirit of togetherness made it a night that will be fondly remembered.

With its soul-stirring melodies, heartfelt stories, and an atmosphere of pure joy, Harmony Unplugged was a beautiful reminder that music has the power to unite, heal, and inspire. It was truly an evening to remember—one that will resonate in our hearts for a long time!

The SNS Chennai Campus

The school reflects the values a society imagines for its future. It is a space to set children up with the tools to question pre-conceived norms and construct new, un-imagined realities. Design can make a critical difference in achieving this. The Shiv Nadar School, Chennai, is envisioned to be the epitome of environmental sustainability.

The design stems from the dense vegetation on the beautiful site, ensuring that no single tree is cut. A biophilic design allows a seamless connection indoors and outdoors for the students to be with nature. A banana leaf-like parasol roof unifies and shades the different blocks of the school that doubles up as a skylight and solar power generation.

Designed and engineered for climate responsiveness, the school structure is an appropriate combination of passive measures, optimized active systems, solar energy generation, and various innovative building strategies. The objective is to improve well-being while reducing the carbon footprint of the building. The design promotes hybrid tempered ventilation, a combination of air-conditioning and natural ventilation while ensuring natural light during the daytime. The building material palette highlights the raw and natural characteristics with refurbished wood panels, steel, and AAC blocks, with radiant barrier insulation to keep the indoors cool.

The overall landscape is integrated with the built form by using existing trees and plants to reduce irrigation requirements. It activates the existing waterbody with effective rainwater harvesting and wastewater treatment strategies. A blend of simple yet effective passive and mechanical strategies, optimized and engineered using building physics simulations, contributing toward a net-zero built environment.

Shiv Nadar Foundation Launches Shiv Nadar School in Chennai

Shiv Nadar Foundation has announced the launch of Shiv Nadar School in Chennai, which is envisioned as an international school with traditional values. It would offer world-class education for the holistic development of young learners. Around 150 students will be enrolled in the first year of operations, and the intake will progressively increase every year.
