Coordinator - Middle Years Programme
Soma Guha's journey in IB education began as an MYP Mathematics educator and in over 15 years, has grown into a broader commitment to curriculum leadership and whole-school learning design — building frameworks that are coherent, purposeful, and grounded in how students actually learn.
Soma collaborates closely with teachers and leadership to align the MYP programmes across grade levels, strengthen assessment practices, and embed inquiry-based approaches that challenge students to think deeply. A key part of this involves conducting professional development sessions for the teaching team, deepening collective understanding of the MYP and ensuring consistent, high-quality implementation across the school. Soma also plays an active role in orienting parents to the MYP framework, helping families understand and engage meaningfully with their child's learning journey.
As an NEASC Accreditation Visitor, Soma also contributes to school improvement beyond campus walls bringing an informed, outside perspective to institutions committed to excellence.
A self-described lifelong learner, Soma models the curiosity and reflective practice that great teaching demands.
