Pre-Primary Parent Partnership Programme - P5
Education is all a matter of building bridges
Ralph Ellison
The program emerged from the challenges faced by the parents to understand and be involved in their child’s learning. The school intends to empower the neighborhood parent community with information, skills, and confidence to strengthen all areas of individual and child development. This also helps to construct a sturdy bridge between the community and the school.
The program primarily functions to strengthen the understanding of the working of the school and the English language skills of the neighborhood parent community. It starts in October/November and culminates in March.
It covers aspects of formal and non-formal education over a period of about 15 weeks. The current program includes topics like Financial Management, Home management, Entrepreneurship, Livelihood, Nutrition, Creating a safe environment for the child, Government laws and Schemes along with language development to support and sustain the objective of wholesome growth.
The program has not only empowered the parents but has also widened the role of the educator as an enabler.
