Our Young Champions: Basketball - Under 14 (Girls)
Shiv Nadar School, FBD hosted its very first Under 14 Girls (Sub Junior) District Basketball Championship on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th July, 2019 organized by the Basketball Federation of India.
A total of 11 teams participated in this tournament:

- Vidya Mandir School, Sector -15, Faridabad
- Delhi Public School, Sector - 81, Faridabad
- Bansi Vidya Niketan
- Modern Vidya Niketan, Sector- 17, Faridabad
- Delhi Public School, Sector - 19, Faridabad
- Modern Vidya Niketan, Aravali hills, Faridabad
- Grand Columbus school
- St. Anthony's School
- DAV, Ballabhgarh
- Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad
We won the finals against St. Anthony’s Secondary School with a scorecard of 35 – 8. Suhana Gupta was adjudged as the Most Valuable Player and Paavani Goel as the Most Promising Player. We played against DAV- Sector 14 in the qualifying round (Score: 24- 10) and against Bansi Vidya Niketan in the Semi-Finals (Score: 48 – 16).
7 girls from our school are selected for the District Faridabad Camp.

It was delightful to watch our young scholars play with complete dedication and true sportsmanship. The atmosphere was electric with the cheers of the students, parents and the enthusiasm of the participants. Kudos to our coaches Mr. Jagdev Singh and Ms. Raspreet Sidhu for there constant support and guidance to children to put their best game forward. Congratulations!
