A Journey of Imagination and Growth – Early Years Learning Walk 2026

The Early Years Learning Walk at Shiv Nadar School Faridabad was a joyful celebration of curiosity, confidence, and growth across Nursery, Foundation Year, and Kindergarten. Conducted on 18th and 19th February 2026, the event offered parents a meaningful window into their children’s learning journeys and the experiences that shaped their year.

Foundation Year – ‘I Love Stories: Fantasy’

The Foundation Year presentation centred on the theme ‘I Love Stories – Fantasy’, bringing imagination to life through storytelling and performance. The morning began with Circle Time, where learners confidently led a mindfulness chant, creating a calm and positive atmosphere. A lively Hindi rhyme recital followed, showcasing expressive actions and growing language confidence.

Each section presented a unique story aligned to the central theme — including Driggety Droo – The Very Determined Dragon, Supertato, The Gruffalo, The Magical Toy Box, and The Magic of Sneezy Spells. The presentations reflected creativity, collaboration, and strong communication skills. The event concluded with an energetic ‘Moving Up’ dance, celebrating both achievement and transition.

Beyond performance, the Learning Walk highlighted children’s social-emotional development, self-regulation, and growing confidence — hallmarks of holistic early years education.

Nursery – Celebrating Themes of the World Around Us

The Nursery Learning Walk was a vibrant showcase of learning rooted in themes such as I Love Water, I Love Animals, Seasons, I Love Plants, and I Love Food. Children sang melodious songs together, performed expressive role-plays, and demonstrated their understanding through music and movement.

An art gallery displaying children’s work from across the year added depth to the experience, allowing parents to see the creative exploration that accompanied classroom learning. The event was met with warm appreciation, as families witnessed their children’s joy, independence, and growth.

Kindergarten – A Milestone Moment

The Kindergarten Learning Walk, held in the amphitheatre, brought together all sections in a collective celebration of their final year in the early years programme. Centred around the theme ‘My World’, the presentation beautifully blended performing and visual arts.

Learners performed rhythmic movements to music and presented theme-based showcases, culminating in a spirited group rendition of Do Re Mi. The celebration concluded with a Graduation Ceremony, where each child received a sash and scroll — marking an important milestone in their educational journey.

The Learning Walk across all early years cohorts reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing confident communicators, creative thinkers, and socially aware learners. It was a proud moment for the entire school community, celebrating not just academic milestones, but the joy and wonder of early childhood learning.
