The MYP Interdisciplinary Unit (IDU) Culmination at Shiv Nadar School, Noida showcased the rich and vibrant learning of students from Grades 6–8 through the theme Wellness. This landmark event highlighted how learners integrate knowledge from multiple disciplines to deepen their understanding of well-being—an essential aim of the IB MYP. By making meaningful connections between subjects and real-world challenges, students strengthened key ATL skills, including critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and research.
Across grades, each cohort explored Wellness through a unique interdisciplinary lens.
Grade 6 brought together English and Mathematics to create data-driven wellness narratives inspired by Wonder, blending storytelling with analytical understanding. Grade 7 combined Science and Design to present innovative app concepts and functional prototypes that promote healthy living. Grade 8 connected Science and Mathematics to decode genetic wellness, using probability models and ethical reflections to understand the factors that shape human health.
The culmination featured a dynamic mix of art performances, wellness cafés, data presentations, prototypes, and interactive exhibits—all designed to give parents an authentic window into the students’ learning journey. The experience celebrated interdisciplinary thinking, creativity, and reflective practice while ensuring minimal disruption to academic schedules.
This Learning Walk marked a significant milestone as the first MYP IDU showcase at Shiv Nadar School, Noida, reinforcing the school’s commitment to inquiry-led, meaningful, and connected learning experiences for every child.
