Celebrating Abilities at Shiv Nadar School, Noida
Special Needs Department, Shiv Nadar School, Noida conducted a sensory exploration circuit during the Ability Week, 2019, understanding the significance of developing a sensory pathway and sensory integration in Early Years.Children engaged in exploring visual, auditory, tactile, oral-motor, vestibular and proprioceptive senses through various activities and play.
Sensitization Fair was organized for primary and middle school children wherein, various activity stalls were put up to sensitize children regarding issues curling around special needs and their diverse requirements through play-way pedagogy.
A panel with renowned members from the industry were invited for a discussion on the topic of transition from school to college – getting it right and a perspective on inclusion. The Panel included Ms. Satinder Walia- Consultant Child Psychologist, Ms. Anupriya- Chief Consultant, Ministry of Education, Ms. Reena Gupta– Founding Director, Office of Learning Support, Ashoka University, Ms. Mamata Barua- Parent, Shiv Nadar School, Noida, Moderator, Dr. Neerja Sharma– Managing Trustee, Pratham Delhi Education Initiative.
