Avisha Arya from 2 Gir, Shiv Nadar School Faridabad, has made the school proud with her outstanding performance in chess at both state and inter-school levels. Avisha secured the 6th position in the Haryana State Chess Championship held in Gurgaon from May 28th to May 30th, 2024, earning a medal for her commendable efforts. Demonstrating her exceptional skills, Avisha also participated in the Board Masters Chess Tournament at The Millennium School Noida on July 7th, 2024. She impressively clinched the 3rd position, winning a trophy, medal, and certificate. Furthermore, Avisha was honored with an additional trophy for being the youngest player in the tournament. Her achievements reflect her dedication and passion for chess, setting a remarkable example for her peers. Tavish Pahwa, a Grade 8 student from Shiv Nadar School Faridabad, has achieved remarkable success in the tennis world. In May, Tavish won both the Singles and Doubles titles at the U-16 Clay Court National Championship in Kolhapur. Not stopping there, he also secured the Singles and Doubles titles at the U-14 Asian Grade A Championship in Hyderabad the same month.
Currently ranked 3rd in the Asian Under-14 category by the ATF (Asian Tennis Federation), Tavish is a proud member of the Grand Slam Player Development Programme of the International and Asian Tennis Federation (GSPDP/ITF/ATF). This prestigious program has given him the opportunity to represent Asia at the Tennis Europe tournaments in July and August. During this period, he will compete in three tournaments in France and one in Germany.
Adding to his impressive achievements, Tavish will also represent India at the World Junior Tennis Championship in Prostejov, Czechia, from August 5th to 10th. India's qualification for this prestigious event marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time in five years the team has reached this stage, thanks to their outstanding performance at the Asia Oceania qualifying round in March.

Nandini Jain, a Grade 8 student, began her fencing journey in Class 6 and has since excelled in the sport. She earned two bronze medals at the 25th Sub Junior Nationals Fencing Championship in Andhra Pradesh for the 2023-24 season in both the individual and team events. Additionally, she secured a bronze medal at the 10th Sub Junior Delhi State Fencing Championship and represented the CBSE team at the 67th National School Games in Chhattisgarh.
Her sister, Vani Jain, a Grade 4 student, also pays the sport and has also won two bronze medals at the 5th Child and Mini Delhi State Fencing Championship in the under-10 and under-12 categories.
Daksh Malik, 9th-grade student, competed in the World Scholar's Cup Global Round 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan, alongside 700 students from around the world. He was awarded the Champion Scholar, ranking 7th and earned 9 Gold and 6 Silver medals across various disciplines. Daksh's journey continues with his qualification for the Tournament of Champions at Yale University, USA.
Nirvaan Singh Arora, a grade 6 student, has earned his FIDE rating 1430, marking his entry into the international chess arena.
He recently participated in the Delhi State Under-13 Chess Championship, a highly competitive tournament that attracts some of the best young players in the regionand secured the Best Player Award in his category.
Avantika Shri Bhatia, a Grade 1 student Shiv Nadar School Faridabad, demonstrated her remarkable skills at the 1st Gaudium Sportopia All India Level-Wise Gymnastics Tournament, held at The Gaudium School, Hyderabad, on July 27th and 28th. Competing in the Level 1 category, Avantika delivered outstanding performances, earning three gold medals and a silver medal. Her achievements highlight her dedication, precision, and passion for gymnastics. Students from Middle Years 1 and 2 of Shiv Nadar School, Chennai, made a stellar impression at the second edition of “Into the Spotlight”, one of Tamil Nadu’s largest inter-school theatre festivals, held at Union Christian Matriculation School, Chetpet. A poignant piece titled Skin I Wear shed light on the struggles of adolescents as they learn to embrace and feel comfortable in their own skin, resonating deeply with the audience.
Monologue:
The comic monologue featured a humorous yet thought-provoking scenario imagining the largest mountain in the world being cut down to size, showcasing creativity and stage presence.
The school’s efforts were recognized with multiple accolades, including 3rd place in Group Drama and individual honors for Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress Runner-Up.
