They not only secured First Place in their category, but also emerged as the overall winners of the event with an outstanding score of 12 under in 20 holes, including a thrilling 2-hole playoff.

Jayansh Dhingra Shines at Faridabad District Chess Tournament
Jayansh Dhingra from Grade 7 Gir, who delivered an exceptional performance at the Faridabad District Chess Tournament by participating in two higher age categories – Under-13 and Under-15.
Despite the tough competition and intense tie-breaker scenarios, Jayansh displayed remarkable strategic skill and composure, securing:
- 1st Position in the Under-15 category
- 2nd Position in the Under-13 category
Both victories were hard-fought, with the final rankings determined through tie-break points, showcasing how closely contested the tournament was.
This isn’t Jayansh’s first moment of glory—he previously won the Under-11 category last year, triumphing with a perfect score by winning all 6 matches.
Jayansh’s consistent performances across multiple age groups are a testament to his dedication, sharp analytical thinking, and love for the game of chess.
Mahira Dua Secures 6th Position in U-11 Girls Chess Category
Mahira Dua from Grade 5 Sariska for securing 6th position in the Under-11 Girls category at the Faridabad District Chess Tournament. Her dedication and composure on the chessboard reflect her growing confidence. We’re excited to see her evolve as a young chess enthusiast.
Tisha Lakhani Shines at District-Level Chess Tournament
Tisha Lakhani, a student of Grade 6 Ranthambore at Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad, secured the 2nd position in the Under-11 category at the District-Level Chess Tournament held at DPSG, Faridabad on 16th April 2025.
This remarkable achievement is a testament to her sharp analytical thinking, dedication and growing passion for the game.

Tiara Jain Shines at Faridabad District Chess Championship 2025
Tiara Jain, a student of MYP 1 at Shiv Nadar School, showcased her talent at the Faridabad District Chess Championship 2025. At just 10 years of age, Tiara secured an impressive 5th position in the Under-11 Girls category and 4th position in the Under-13 Girls category. Her commendable performance across two age groups highlights her growing confidence and skill in the game.
Shiv Nadar School girls win Bronze at State Inter-School Basketball Championship
The Shiv Nadar School girls competed for the first time in the BLeague State Inter-School Basketball Championship, after winning the BLeague Gautambudh Nagar Inter-School Basketball Championship.
The girls travelling daily to Nehru World School Ghaziabad, won all their pool matches.

Shiv Nadar School, Noida vs Nehru World School Ghaziabad: 26:5
The semi finals were against Rani Murar, Varanasi. The match was extremely nerve biting and worthy of a final match, however the Varanasi team managed to just snatch victory with a lead of 6 points. The final score was 46 - 40. The Shiv Nadar School, coach was extremely proud of the girls and mentioned "The girls team played really well and were playing against the entire Varanasi district team who practice 4-6 hours together everyday."
The 3-4th position match was played against Pardada-Pardadi winning 3rd place with a score of 40-19.
The Shiv Nadar School, Noida Boys team also played exceptionally well. They won their first pool match against Silverline school with a convincing win of 45 - 18. Their second match was against St Andrews, and worthy of a final. After dominating the first quarter victory was snatched from them and they lost with a mere 5 points difference and a final score of 58 - 53.
Shiv Nadar School at World School Chess Championship
Tashna Aggarwal, a student of Grade 2 at Shiv Nadar School Noida, represented India in the World School Chess Championship and secured 5th rank in the Under-7 girls category. 40 countries participated in the championship which was held at Durres, Albania from 21-29 April 2018. Heartiest congratulation to the little champion! Shiv Nadar School Noida honored with Global Innovative School Award 2018. The school was recognised for its exemplary performance across 5 areas- Impact, Academic Performance, Cultural Inclusion, Social Awareness and Use of Technology.

Sir Raman Science Innovation Award
We are delighted to share with you that Arin Chaudhary, a student of grade 7, Shiv Nadar School Noida, won the Sir Raman Science Innovation Award for the intermediate category. Arin has achieved this honour after competing with more than 1500 entries and being a part of a rigorous pan-Indian process of selection.
The jury for the award comprised eminent scientists from NASA, RRMI along with Sir CV Raman's grand-daughter Ms. Dominique Radhakrishnan. Arin has been awarded a winner certificate, a cheque of Rs. 20,000 and a Science Kit from Thinktac. We hope that this proves to be a stepping stone to greater innovation and achievements in future!
