On Thursday, May 9, 2019, a percussionist and a performer of Kaath took our children from Early Years on a fascinating journey into wooden pictures and the sound of wood. The children explored the world of wood, music and tales. The children not only got exposure to theatre but also developed the need for appreciation of things in their immediate surroundings. It also nurtured the artistic sensibilities of our children.
The new session begins with opportunities for our students to explore different genres and meet authors who create magic through books and their myriad story telling skills. As part of our first Library-led event for this session, students of Year 2 and 3 got an opportunity to meet and interact with the renowned author Ms. Paro Anand on April 15, 2019.
Paro Anand is a Bal Sahitya Puraskar winner and often described as a fearless writer with a big heart who has written for early years to adults.
During this interaction she conducted an animated story telling session from her acclaimed book ‘Wingless’, which has been performed nationally and internationally. While she read excerpts from this book, students were mesmerized with her narration style, yearning to hear to the whole story!
To beat the heat of the sun and help our children unfold the mystery of water games, Early Years organized a ‘Beach Party’ on Thursday, May 9, 2019 for the Nursery and Kindergarten children on Friday, May 10, 2019.
