Montage & Beyond 2026, Decoding the Process of Knowing: The Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Exhibition

Our recent Theory of Knowledge (TOK) exhibition transformed the campus into a dynamic forum for intellectual inquiry, welcoming an engaged audience of parents, faculty members, and guests.

The event commenced with a thoughtful introduction by our student anchors, who set the context for the TOK course and the exhibition itself. They emphasized that the showcase was not merely a one-way presentation, but an active dialogue between the students and their visitors, designed to explore the complex and fascinating process of how knowledge is produced, organized, and understood.

Glimpses from the Exhibition Through deep discussions anchored by carefully chosen objects, students tackled profound epistemological questions. Here are a few highlights from the interactive displays:

  • The Power of Context: By analyzing the release of the WikiLeaks 'Collateral Murder' video alongside the highly varied global reactions to the movie Barbie, students demonstrated how cultural context and personal backgrounds heavily influence the acceptance or rejection of knowledge.
  • Imagination in Knowledge Production: The crucial role of imagination in the Natural Sciences was explored through an image of the first stained neuron observed under a microscope—an object that historically sparked diverse theories about brain cell functions. Blurring the lines between art and science, students also discussed how filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s creative visualization of the black hole 'Gargantua' proved so scientifically insightful that it led to two peer-reviewed astrophysics papers mathematically verifying the concept.
  • The Impact of Organization: How does the "bracketing" and organization of knowledge shape our reality? This concept was poignantly illustrated through a student’s own report card and its impact on self-perception. This everyday object was compared to the historical marvel of Mendeleev’s periodic table, where the deliberate grouping of elements and the intentional gaps left behind successfully predicted the existence of undiscovered elements.

The exhibition was a resounding success, showcasing our students' advanced critical thinking skills and their ability to navigate the intricate landscapes of truth, perspective, and imagination alongside the broader school community.

Anandam – The Journey of Unbridled Joy

"We all have our time machines; memories take us back, dreams take us forward"

The children of Foundation Nursey & KG concluded the year full of learning, discovery, confidence & joy through Anandam – The Journey of Unbridled Joy. This celebration reflected the wonderful growth of our children. Through music and movement, we revisit the experiences and happy moments that made this year so special.

To add deeper meaning, children coloured their Angavastram and dip it in natural turmeric (haldi), which symbolises purity, healing, safety, and positivity. A heartwarming moment is when each child places a kumkum handprint beside their teacher’s, creating a beautiful keepsake of their shared journey. The Angavastram is then given to them as a symbol of care and protection.

Anandam celebrated the happiness, milestones, and memories that were  created together

Wings Spotted, Curiosity Sparked: Shiv Nadar School Faridabad Takes Flight with the Campus Bird Count

Shiv Nadar School Faridabad actively participated in the Campus Bird Count, a nationwide initiative under Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) that brings institutions together to document birdlife across shared spaces. In 2025, over 270 campuses submitted more than 8,000 bird checklists, reflecting the scale and collective impact of this conservation effort.

Teachers and facilitators engaged in systematic bird observation and data recording across designated campus locations. During the initiative, the team identified a few migratory bird species that had temporarily settled in nearby areas, contributing meaningful insights to local biodiversity records.

Students reported to school in the early morning and were guided to specific bird-watching spots across the campus. The exercise encouraged careful observation, documentation, and reflection. The cost of participation was fully borne by the school, ensuring inclusive engagement.

The initiative served as a powerful platform for experiential learning, strengthening environmental awareness, research skills, and collaboration. Through its participation, Shiv Nadar School Faridabad reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability, conservation, and nurturing ecological responsibility among learners.

Celebrating Holi Sustainably: IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) 1 Learners Craft Organic Colours with Tender Heart NGO at Shiv Nadar School Faridabad

In celebration of the upcoming festival of Holi, students of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) 1 at Shiv Nadar School Faridabad participated in an interactive and educational session conducted by Tender Heart NGO.

The workshop centred on creating organic, vibrant Holi powders using natural ingredients. The facilitators began by addressing the environmental and health concerns linked to chemical-based colours, prompting students to reflect on how traditional celebrations can be reimagined in more sustainable and responsible ways.

This discussion led into a lively hands-on activity. Under guided supervision, students prepared natural colours using turmeric for yellow, beetroot for pink, and dried flower petals for bright hues. The process was creative, collaborative, and rooted in real-world environmental awareness.

The session strengthened students’ understanding of sustainable practices while fostering teamwork, creativity, and cultural appreciation. It was a meaningful experience that empowered learners to celebrate Holi in a safe, joyful, and environmentally conscious manner.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Tender Heart NGO for guiding our learners towards thoughtful and responsible celebrations.
