Anandam is a celebration of the yearlong learning journey of our students through different baskets of AHA- Visual Arts, Dance, Music and Theatre. This culmination on the virtual platform is a time to take stock of the children’s learning journey, celebrating their milestones with ‘Anandam’. As ‘Anandam’ continues on the virtual platform, our students flawlessly adapted the advantages of the digital medium in presenting their performances.

Taking the Pandemic by the Horns
Shiv Nadar School, Noida conducted a Parent Orientation at the school campus for the new parents for academic year 2022-23.
The Orientation aimed at welcoming our new parents and shared with them about the Shiv Nadar Foundation and its ethos. The School Leadership walked the parents through the vision and mission, value system and pillars of the school. Parents were also taken through the journey of the educational initiatives under the Shiv Nadar Foundation umbrella. A journey from the inception of its first educational initiative to the newest upcoming campus of Shiv Nadar School at Chennai.

The topic of the first panel discussion in the series was ‘Taking the Pandemic by the Horns – Shiv Nadar School in its decennial year’. The pandemic brought profound changes in the way we had learnt to live our lives. The way education was imparted was also relooked at, within the confines of our homes. For us, the decennial year of Shiv Nadar School is an opportunity to reflect on the past to examine the possibilities that lie ahead. The discussion was on the reflective question of how and what we as a school did as a school. The panellists shared experiences and learnings from the pandemic and examined the possibilities that lie ahead and move on in a direction that keeps the learner's needs front and centre of our journey.

Taking the Pandemic by the Horns
The second edition of the Partnership Series is based on how as an educational institution that aimsto support the overall development of students, we have a responsibility to create a space that accepts all students and nurtures them.
We at Shiv Nadar School Noidadesigned the Launchpad programme for April and May with the aim of understanding and supporting the educational and socio-emotional needs of every learner. The intent is to enable every learner to take off on their pathway to excellence with confidence and a deep understanding of themselves, their needs and their desires. The panellists joined in a conversation where they shared their understanding of the situation and the design of the Launchpad programme and discussed how as a critical stakeholder each of them can participate and contribute.
Colloquium is a platform for students to display their yearlong Capstone projects as part of their integrated IT curriculum. The Colloquium conference serves as a culmination to these projects in theform of a product, project presentation.
The students of Grade 10 participated in this annual competition, presenting their projects to a jury on the virtual platform. The competition follows a two-tier selection process, where studentprojects are first examined by a sub-jury, followed by a presentationand interaction with an external jury who judge the efficacy andviability of the projects.While 18 projects from Shiv Nadar School Noida, were presented to the sub-jury, three projects made it to thefinal jury round.
Three teams from Noida Campus were:
a) Team Herbicore - To design a Biodegradable mask and save the environment from the toll of disposable masks.
b) Team DextraHelp- To design an affordable solution that helps stabilise hand tremors.
c) Team Voice for the Voiceless - To design an intelligent dog feeder so as to prevent stray dogs from starvation.
The external jury comprised of:
1. Mr. Gaurav Mehta, CMO, Zupee (Ex-CMO CarDekho and OLX)
2. Mr. Akshay Munjal, Founder and CEO, HERO Vired
3. Mr. Aashray Thatai, Managing Partner FAhome, Co-Founder, PostFold
4. Prof. B. Venkatesh Kumar, Professor and Chairperson, Centre for Public Policy and Governance at TISS
The program helped students to connect with community issues and integrate outside ofschool learning experiences.It allows them to think critically and solve challenging problems, develop skills such as research, teamwork, planning, goal setting and projectmanagement during the process.
Team Hermes from Gurugram campus secured the first position and Team DextraHelp from Noida campus secured Second Position.

Shiv Nadar School Faridabad in collaboration withSPIC MACAY experienced a unique lecture demonstration ofSantoor Maestro andMusic ComposerAbhay Rustum Sopori.The eminent artist enthralled the audience of grade 4 and abovealong with few parents who grabbed the opportunity of witnessing this program in March 2022.The program began with lighting of lamp followed by invocation rendered by the students of Hindustani Classical Vocal basket.
And the program began with introduction of the artist whowas accompanied the veteren artistSh. Rishi Shankar Upadhyay - Pakhawaj,Sh. Zuheb Ahmed Khan - Tabla andSh. Varun Rajashekharan - Ghatam.
Shouryaa Sharma ofShiv Nadar School Noida won theBEST INNOVATIONPRIZE INHACKATHONwhich was held at Gautam Buddha University, GreaterNoida.
He built aSmart ECG Machinethat could record a patient's Cardiac Rhythm and plot the values on a graph. The machine can store the values for future use and can also let the patient know if his/her heart is working fine.

Rhea Chadha Grade 9of Shiv Nadar School Noida co-authored a book titled “Life as a Teacher” This book reminds children that not all learning happens in school. Getting good grades is important, but we should learn from all of our experiences. Rhea has opted for all proceeds from the sale of the book to go to the NGOSave the Children.
Rhea also participated in a program organized by theCompassionate Leaders Circlelast year in collaboration withLearn With Leaderswhich had 39 high-school students from 9 countries. The program details and the process was published in aForbesarticle(A Borderless And Boredom-Less Education Platform Inspires Teens When They Need It The Most).The students were paired and each student pair collaborated to write and illustrate a book (Project I). The students also individually worked on their soul projects (Project II).The article also features a link to apodcastwhere Rhea and the other 5 selected presenters talk about their soul projects. In her section of the podcast, Rhea sang her original composition “Deciding My Destiny”.
The Decennial Celebrations on April 9, 2022
Shiv Nadar School completed 10 years of its existence on 9th of April, 2022. It was 10 years ago, on 9th April, 2012, when the first set of parentsand teachers gatheredat the Circle of Love along withMr Nadar, planting saplings and singing 'Hamaari hi Mutthi Mein' and the nationalanthem, symbolising our commitment to be future forward educators and nation-builders of the highest levels of excellence.
The celebrations started with entire community of Shiv Nadar School Noida gathering at the Circle of Love, where the Principal, Mrs. Anju Soni, reiterated our commitment to the values and philosophy that the school stands for.
The occasion was graced by Swami Prem Parivartan, also known as Peepal Baba who conducted an orientation session for the essence of tree plantation. We planted trees around the school, as a commitment to the future of the planet, for cleaner air and water, but most of all, for our own happiness! The plantation drive was carried out by our oldest and latest parents, students and teachers.
Mr. Hitesh Jalgaonkar, Associate Manager – Green Spaces, HCL Harit and Mr. Ravi Sharma from HCL Foundation put up engrossing conversations around the initiatives of HCL Harit and local biodiversity and related aspects.
The school welcomed Shafali Verma, one of our own students, from the Batch of 2023 and member of the Women’s Indian Cricket Team. Shafali not only mingled with her batch mates but also very sportingly participated in the Walk the Talk Series in which she was interviewed by her peers at school, Mariya Abbas, Shafali’s batch mate and a budding footballer and Saatvik Das, a budding sports journalist from Grade 11. Arjuna Bhattacharya, outgoing CGC Prefect 2021-22 felicitated Shafali by presenting a portrait of Shafali made by Diya Gupta of grade 8.
The Parent Partnership Office inaugurated the Decennial Edition of Reflections EKA – a collection of parents’ reflections, experiences and stories. The staff carried back a sapling to mark their commitment towards earth mindedness.
The Decennial Celebrations had a befitting finale to the day by practicing Mindfulness all together in a session conducted by the Ahimsa Trust, a practice so dear to each one at Shiv Nadar School Noida. Mr. Shantum Seth, Founder, Ahimsa Trust initiated a course on Mindfulness across all Shiv Nadar School campuses with an aim to create a mindful community.
