Elixir 3.0, the biennial inter-school literary festival themed “A Ship is Safe in the Harbour, but That is Not What It is Built For,” was held with immense enthusiasm at Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad, on 29th November 2024. The event brought together over 100 students from seven prominent schools across Faridabad, Gurgaon, and Noida, providing a platform to showcase creativity, literary talent, and artistic expression.

The festival commenced with registrations at 8:00 AM, followed by breakfast and an engaging opening ceremony. The day featured a variety of events conducted across different venues, showcasing literary and artistic talent in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Sanskrit, French, German, and Spanish.

    • Topic: “Pursuit of Knowledge is Worth Any Sacrifice”
    • Students embodied literary characters and passionately debated from their perspectives, displaying a unique combination of intellect and creativity.
  2. Slam Poetry
    • A self-composed artistic expression event where students demonstrated exceptional originality and enthusiasm.
  3. Cosplay with Soliloquy
    • Participants delivered dramatic monologues with impressive voice modulation, expressions, and gestures, leaving the audience spellbound.
  4. Visual Interpretation of Poetry
    • A collaborative effort between poets and artists.
    • Theme: “The Horizon Awaits – Beyond Boundaries”
    • Teams presented beautiful and thought-provoking interpretations through visual and poetic mediums.
  5. Sanskrit Group Song
    • Highlighting the melodic richness of Sanskrit, this event was a testament to the timeless appeal of ancient languages.
  6. Hindi Monologue & Foreign Language Incarnate
    • Participants performed in Hindi, French, German, and Spanish, showcasing their linguistic prowess and love for literature.

Our Grade XI IBDP student, Divyam Tayal, achieved remarkable success at ThinkStartup's U18 Launchpad, an elite entrepreneurship program for high school students held at IIT Delhi in June 2024. This program is known for its rigorous selection process and the opportunity it provides students to collaborate with some of the brightest minds in India.

Divyam secured the first position in the competition with his groundbreaking project, "BOTICARM." This innovative project involves the development of an advanced AI-powered prosthetic arm that features voice control and neural sensory integration. BOTICARM is designed to significantly improve the quality of life for individuals with limb differences by offering them a smart, intuitive prosthetic solution.

Maira Verma from Grade 4, Gir won a Bronze Medal in the under-10 Girls National Fencing Championship held in Odisha on June 17, 2024. Prior to this, she clinched a Gold Medal in the under-10 Girls State Level Championship (Delhi NCR) on May 26, 2024. Her dedication, hard work, and passion for fencing have truly paid off.

Avisha Arya from 2 Gir, Shiv Nadar School Faridabad, has made the school proud with her outstanding performance in chess at both state and inter-school levels. Avisha secured the 6th position in the Haryana State Chess Championship held in Gurgaon from May 28th to May 30th, 2024, earning a medal for her commendable efforts. Demonstrating her exceptional skills, Avisha also participated in the Board Masters Chess Tournament at The Millennium School Noida on July 7th, 2024. She impressively clinched the 3rd position, winning a trophy, medal, and certificate. Furthermore, Avisha was honored with an additional trophy for being the youngest player in the tournament. Her achievements reflect her dedication and passion for chess, setting a remarkable example for her peers.
