Alishka Rakheja Shines at SGFI State Chess Tournament
Alishka Rakheja, a learner of Grade 3 Sariska, brought laurels to Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad with a commendable performance at the SGFI State Under-11 Girls Chess Tournament.
Representing Team Faridabad, Alishka secured the Third Prize, contributing to the team’s strong finish at the state level. Her focus, discipline, and steady play stood out throughout the tournament.
Tisha Lakhani Shines at Prometheus Sports League (PSL) 2025–26
Tisha Lakhani, a student of Grade 6 – Ranthambore at Shiv Nadar School Faridabad, participated in the Chess Event of the Prometheus Sports League (PSL) 2025–2026, held at Prometheus School, Noida on 29th and 30th November 2025.
She earned the 3rd position in the Under-13 Girls category — a commendable achievement that reflects her focus, discipline, and growing mastery in chess.

Game Design with Purpose
In an inspiring blend of creativity, collaboration, and environmental awareness, our MY1 learners stepped into the Makerspace to design and build their own educational board games. Their mission: to deepen understanding of SDG 14: Life Below Water and SDG 15: Life on Land.
Through hands-on creation, students explored real-world environmental challenges—pollution, biodiversity loss, conservation efforts—and transformed these ideas into interactive, imaginative games. Every element, from rules to artwork to gameplay strategy, was crafted to spark conversation and encourage players to think critically about protecting our ecosystems.
What emerged were not just board games, but thoughtful learning tools that reflect how creativity can amplify awareness and make complex global issues accessible.
By designing with purpose, our learners demonstrated that play can be powerful—and that young minds can lead the way in advocating for a sustainable future.
Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad Shines at the Ethics Olympiad 2025
The Ethics Olympiad is known for building essential skills in young learners - analytical reasoning, collaborative problem-solving, and thoughtful communication. Students engage with complex and often sensitive ethical dilemmas while upholding the principles of respect, clarity, and constructive dialogue. Though the issues discussed are serious, the experience remains enriching and enjoyable as participants interact with peers from around the globe.
This global competition draws nearly 300 schools worldwide and is divided into regional zones. In our zone—which included 23 teams from Western Australia, India, and Singapore, our students delivered an outstanding performance.

Team 2’s remarkable performance placed them second in the region, earning a Silver Medal and an invitation to the International Round scheduled for February.
Event Format
The competition is conducted online via Zoom, with each school registering 5–10 participants. Over the course of the day, teams take part in four rounds of ethical case discussions. They are evaluated on criteria that recognise well-reasoned arguments, clear communication, teamwork, and respectful engagement.
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals are awarded at the end of each regional event. Gold and Silver winners advance to represent their zone at the International Ethics Olympiad.
Urvashi Virmani Honoured at Sahodaya Utkrisht Shikshak Puraskar 2025
Urvashi Virmani, Head of Computer Science at Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad, has been recognised at the Sahodaya Utkrisht Shikshak Puraskar 2025, organised by the Sahodaya School Complex, Faridabad Educational Chapter.

Children’s Day 2025: A Day Filled with Joy, Creativity, and Community Spirit
Children’s Day at our school was nothing short of spectacular, filled with the perfect blend of creativity, collaboration, and pure childhood joy. This year, our teachers and parent community came together to create an unforgettable experience for our learners — and in the process, became children themselves for a day!
Teachers Take the Stage
The celebrations began with our teachers putting together a delightful dance performance and skit especially for the students. Bursting with humour, energy, and heart, the performance set the tone for a day dedicated entirely to celebrating childhood.
A Fete to Remember — Curated by Parents
Our incredible parent community transformed the school into a vibrant Children’s Day Fete, complete with game stalls, workshops, and hands-on experiences. The campus buzzed with excitement as students explored a curated mix of classic and innovative activities. Students excitedly moved from one activity to another, playing classic games such as Tambola, Shoot the Target, Ring Toss, and even the traditional Spin the Top. They also immersed themselves in high-energy experiences like obstacle courses, buzz wire challenges, and the ever-popular mystery box. Creative corners drew enthusiastic crowds with jewellery making, bookmark making and dance sessions that kept spirits high throughout the day.
Adding to the excitement was the signature workshop and a thrilling Math and Chemistry–themed Murder Mystery experience, where students used logic, clues, and teamwork to solve cleverly designed puzzles!
The day also included meaningful hands-on workshops. One especially impactful session was the Composting Workshop, where parent experts guided students through the basics of composting and worked with them to plant saplings to mark the occasion. This thoughtful activity blended environmental awareness with joyful learning, giving students a memorable way to contribute to the planet.
What made this Children’s Day truly special was the spirit that filled every corner of the campus. Teachers cheered, parents hosted and played with unfiltered enthusiasm, and students soaked in every moment of the celebration. Laughter, excitement, and wonder brought the community together in a way that felt both heartfelt and magical.
As the day drew to a close, one thing was clear: when parents, teachers, and students come together with a shared intention to celebrate childhood, the result is unforgettable.

Grade 3 & 4 Night-In at Shiv Nadar School Faridabad: A Night of Adventure, Learning, and Lasting Memories
On November 4th, Grade 3 and 4 students at Shiv Nadar School Faridabad experienced a memorable night-in filled with adventure, teamwork, and joyful camaraderie. The evening offered an exciting mix of outdoor activities, including zip lining, rock climbing, and zorbing, giving students a chance to challenge themselves and enjoy the outdoors together.
Beyond the thrill, the night-in encouraged independence and responsibility as students managed their belongings and cared for themselves throughout the experience.
After an energetic evening, they gathered for a wholesome meal, played games with their peers, and settled in for a cozy sleepover. The event was filled with laughter, shared moments, and new friendships—creating memories they will carry with them for years to come.
Avviraaj Kalia Brings Laurels in Golf
Avviraaj Kalia, a student of Grade 5 at Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad, has secured the Runner-up position at the Little Masters Junior Golf Tour.
Building on this remarkable achievement, Avviraaj has qualified for two prestigious international tournaments — the Champion of Champions World Invitational in Ireland and the Australian Junior Age Division Golf Championship in Australia.
Adding to his list of accolades, Avviraaj won the 23rd NCR Golf Cup held at Golden Greens Golf Club, Gurugram on 27–28 November, where he was awarded a cheque of ₹20,000 in recognition of his performance.
Avviraaj recently participated in the Junior and Senior Golf Tournament held at Godrej Golf Links, Noida. He emerged as the winner in his category and was declared the overall winner of the tournament.
Further adding to his impressive achievements, Avviraaj has won the Junior Category at the 17th FIA–JCB Annual Golf Tournament 2026 held at the Aravalli Golf Course.

Jayansh Dhingra Shines at Haryana Open Chess Tournament
Jayansh Dhingra, a student of Grade 7, Shiv Nadar School Faridabad, showcased exceptional skill and composure at the Haryana Open Chess Tournaments held in Panipat on 8th and 9th November 2025. Competing in both Rapid and Blitz formats, Jayansh faced a strong field of over 250 participants from Haryana, Punjab, and Delhi-NCR, including titled players - International Masters (IMs) and FIDE Masters (FMs).
Demonstrating remarkable consistency, Jayansh secured 2nd position in both formats in the Under-12 category, earning trophies and a total cash prize of ₹12,000.
We are proud of Jayansh’s achievement and wish him continued success in his chess journey.
Iha Joshi Excels at State and National Championships
Iha Joshi, Grade 9 – Corbett, Shiv Nadar School Faridabad, has demonstrated remarkable consistency and grit across major competitive platforms this season.
At the 27th Haryana Olympic Games, held from 3rd to 5th November 2025 at the Faridabad Sports Complex, Iha secured three medals, showcasing her versatility and competitive spirit:
- Gold Medal – Women’s Singles
- Silver Medal – Women’s Doubles
- Bronze Medal – Mixed Doubles
Building on this momentum, Iha went on to make an impressive mark at the 69th SGFI National School Games (U-17 Tennis) held in Ajmer from 2–6 December 2025, where she represented Haryana and contributed as a key playing member of the team. She clinched the Gold Medal, and her name appears in the official SGFI result list. Her achievement has also been highlighted in local news coverage.
Iha’s dedication and consistency on the court reflect her deep commitment to excellence and bring immense pride to the Shiv Nadar School community.
