12 of our students of Grades 8 and 9 have submitted the attached proposal to qualify for the Indian National Space Settlement Design Competition. This competition leads to the Asian Semi-finals for the ‘International Space Settlement Design Competition’ held every year in July at the NASA's Kennedy Space Centre, Florida. In this competition, the students are put in the shoes of aerospace industry engineers, designing a settlement in space that will be home for about 9,000 people. Student engineers demonstrate creativity, technical competence, management skills, space environment knowledge, teamwork and presentation techniques to conquer the problems inherent in designing a Space Settlement. This year the Competition Organisers from NASA and Boeing have developed a challenge which requires the students to design 'CASSANDRAS' which will be the first fusion-propelled space settlement, which will serve as a “space cruise liner” enabling 80-day transits between Earth and Mars. Our students have created the attached 40-page report that addresses the issues and communicates their ideas and designs.

E Pluribus Unum-which means "One out of many" or "One from many" is an E magazine with articles by the students of grades 9 to 12 of Shiv Nadar Schools of all the three campuses. The magazine not only showcases the creativity, research skills and writing skills of our students but also gives them a platform to air their views on a plethora of topics.
At Shiv Nadar School, we firmly believe in ‘Learning by Doing’. Experiences play an important role in a child's life by enhancing their social skills, intellectual skills, personality progress, and character appeal. We bring to you the digital version of Funkaar with the hope that you will experience the sense of joy and exuberance that the children have felt in stitching this together for you, while being in their homes removed by distance but aligned by the same ethos, artistic bent, appreciation for beauty and love for each other.

We marked Computer Science week from 5th Dec to 13th Dec,2020. Students of Grades 3 to 5 and 8 to 10 participated in the same by getting involved in different coding/programming modules done in the class.
Grades 3 to 5 students experienced online coding modules in a fun and creative environment to understand concepts of computer programming. It instils computational thinking in students thus helps students logically organise and analyse the steps.
Grades 8 to 10 students explored RoboMind which is a simple educational programming environment with its own scripting language that allows students to program a simulated robot. It also aims at offering insights in robotics and artificial intelligence. Students could design and animate simultaneously and pick up the methodology in one go on applications like Construct 3, Tinkercad and Autodesk expression editor.
Computer Science week was an enriching experience for students.
