Our Budding Scientist, Kshitij Goel

It's time to celebrate the achievement of our Budding Scientist, Kshitij Goel of grade 4, who has done us proud again with his yet another innovation in the field of Science. 

NXP India, the largest R&D center of NXP Semiconductors Pvt. Ltd, conducted the Young Innovators Challenge back in August to challenge young minds to put their creativity and innovation to the around this year’s theme – ‘Let’s Fight COVID19 together’.

Kshitij, was the youngest innovator at the event and bagged the Special Jury Innovation Award as well as Audience Choice award in the junior category.

He came up with a breathing device ‘Sanjeevani, an automated bag valve mask that can act as a provisional ventilator machine for people suffering from acute respiratory diseases like Covid-19. It is basically a low cost ventilator which is relevant to the current pandemic.

Achievements in Joie de vivre S4 Cultural Festival by Senior School Students

The senior school students of Shiv Nadar Noida participated in the inter-school cultural festival - Joie de Vivre. Chickar International School (CIS) and the Institute for Career Studies (ICS) organised Season 4 of their signature Joie de Vivre festival which was conducted online.

The festival provided the students a unique platform to display their innate talent in the areas of design thinking, social awareness, team spirit and creativity under different categories.

The students from the Noida campus won the following positions and made us proud.

9 year old 5th grader Pranet created this versatile app to help patients to find the best solution for their healthcare needs under a common platform. Pranet Pahwa has been recognised by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA as they have selected his App XDOC+  the winner for MIT App of the month. XDOC+ is the platform through which the general public can know about various medical specialties and the key doctors across various specialities all under one roof.

1 Runner up in 1 Attempt: Grade 10 designed a project named "SAFE". It is a Self - Sanitising Automatic Futuristic Effortless bench. Aims to solve sanitized seating arrangement in public spaces.

olloquium is project based learning challenges aimed to solve a real world problem. The teams apply tech learning to solve these challenges. It not only displays the technology skills gained through different tech baskets offered at School but also harnesses entrepreneurial skills in students. Thus, offers enriching learning experience to students. Our Grade 10 students explored these projects for the first time. One team of Grade 10 came up with the project named "SAFE".

SAFE is a Self-sanitising Automatic Futuristic Effortless bench aiming to solve the sitting problem  as it’s the most basic activities which has become a huge hassle and a danger to health due to pandemic. With the rapid increase of diseases to be seen, this bench can also contribute significantly in the future to combat other communicable diseases and create an overall clean environment. It focusses to solve the close contact and sanitising problem especially in the older people and children as they face more significant risk due to their weaker immune system.
