Pranit Rastogi Shines at World Cadet Chess Championship 2025 – Secures 4th Place for India
Pranit Rastogi, a Grade 3 student at Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad, represented India at the prestigious World Cadet Chess Championship 2025, held in Rhodes, Greece, this April.
Pranit delivered an outstanding performance, finishing 4th in the Under-8 category and standing joint third based on points. He was the only Indian player to secure a spot in the Top 4 of this global championship.
In recognition of his remarkable achievement, Pranit Rastogi has been invited to be felicitated on June 13th by Ms. Kiran Chopra (Chairperson, Punjab Kesari Group) and Shri Vipul Goyal (Cabinet Minister, Government of Haryana).

Our students showcased remarkable skill and determination, bringing home multiple medals:
- Keshava Vasudev (Grade 5) - Silver Medal in the Under-12 Boys category.
- Abheet Gulati (Grade 11) - Silver Medal in the Under-17 Boys category.
- Pratyush Pande (Grade 11) - Bronze Medal in the Under-17 Boys category.

School Games District Tournament Gymnastics U-14 Girls
We are thrilled to announce that Seerat Vashisht, a talented student from Grade 7, has delivered an exceptional and winning performance at the recent SGFI Gymnastics Championship.
Competing against more than 20 gymnasts from 15 different schools, Seerat demonstrated remarkable skill and dedication, securing the first position in the Under-14 Girls category.
Her hard work and commitment have made the entire school proud. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Seerat on this outstanding achievement!
Animal Parade
“Animals should not require our permission to live on Earth. Animals were given the right to be here long before we arrived”
Animals play a vital role in the lives of the little ones. Children love animals for the very simple reason that they connect with them without any expectations or outcomes but purely with love and care. They are fascinated by their body structures, fur and the different sounds they make and love imitating them.
In Nursery during the ongoing theme ‘I love animals’, an animal parade was conducted. This showcased the understanding students had of the various animals, their observations and without fail the wonderful homemade costumes! Students came dressed as their favorite animal and went for a parade around the school singing slogans and playing various musical instruments. Post that, they spoke a few words on the animal that they were depicting within their classrooms.
The enthusiasm and cheering with which the little ones were received in the Primary corridors during the parade was endearing. It was clearly visible that it was a fun-filled learning experience for the tiny tots.
Sports Carnival - Khel Khel Mein
Sports enthusiast as we are, the simpler games of childhood are oft forgotten. A chance to relive the memories of times before the advent of “screen” games was presented by the PRG of grades 1 to 5. The ‘sporty’ carnival was aptly called, “Khel Khel Mein”.
Grandparents, parents and children indulged themselves playing chain-chain, pithu (seven stones), tug of war, stapu, langdi tang, basket-ball, blind fold, dodgeball, musical arms, bucket & ball, dog-in-the-bone, various fun races like catwalk, dress-up, 3-legged, sack, balloon, skipping, running and relay. In fact, one Grandparent scored a perfect score in a single turn at the bucket & ball game. It was heartening to see the Grandparents skipping along with their children smiling and cheering all.
Khel Khel Mein created happy smiling memories and brought smiles to everyone.
Funkaar -Grade I
Grade 1 students culminated their unit- ‘Communication’- throught the event ‘Funkaar’ held on 13 th December, 2019. During the theme, the children learnt various topics ranging from ‘forms of communication, types of communication, expressing emotions and feelings through various means and more. By the end of the theme, the children were able to successfully identify communication as an important skill for building meaningful association and relationships.The students also learnt about the significance of communicating effectively and processing their sentiments using verbal and non-verbal forms of communication.
Through ‘Funkaar’ the students mastered the art of communication by being confident in presenting:
their ideas and thoughts,
reciting dohas and poems in Hindi
helping their parents in processing their emotions and making them say aloud their affirmations
mapping feelings using a bar graph
sharing fun facts
saying ‘Hello & Thank you’ in various global languages
enacting the importance of not miscommunicating
explaining the timeline of communication.
and, most importantly taking written feedback to further. polish their presentation skills.
The students were also involved in creating various posters,vocabulary cards in both English and Hindi, board displays, poems and dialogues. Each student could be seen transformed into a little an effective communicator, explaining in great details all the work they’d put on display. They enthralled their audience with their
sincere performance through the day.
Celebrating Milestones: EY3 Graduation Day
Graduation Day is always a moment of pride, reflection, and new beginnings. As our EY3 students stepped forward to mark their transition to Primary School, the celebration was filled with warmth, gratitude, and a sense of togetherness.
The event began with a heartwarming sight—parents eagerly waiting with balloons in hand, ready to welcome their little graduates. Their excitement mirrored the joy and pride of the moment, setting the perfect tone for the day.
Instead of the traditional graduation cap, each child received a handcrafted angavastram, adorned with the handprints of their teachers and their own—a deeply personal keepsake symbolizing the guidance, learning, and bonds they have formed. This meaningful gesture reflects the values of respect, mentorship, and lifelong learning, making their graduation truly special.
The ceremony was made even more heartfelt as students, in pairs, shared what they loved most about their friend before stepping onto the stage together to receive their angavastram. Their words of appreciation were a beautiful reminder of the friendships and connections they had built.
The event culminated in a touching performance of On My Way, as the little graduates sang with excitement and confidence, ready to embrace the adventures ahead.
As the ceremony concluded, students joined their parents under the shade of the majestic banyan tree for a delightful snack—a moment of togetherness, reflection, and quiet celebration before embarking on their next adventure.

Our Founder, Mr. Shiv Nadar Graces Our Campus
We had the distinct honor and privilege of welcoming our esteemed founder, Mr. Shiv Nadar, to our school recently—a truly momentous occasion that left an indelible mark on our entire community.
Mr. Nadar was greeted with heartfelt warmth and enthusiasm by our students, who performed the uplifting Maithreem Bhajatha song in his honor. The beautiful and moving performance set a touching tone for the rest of his visit.
During his time on campus, PY4 students had the extraordinary opportunity to interact with Mr. Nadar. He engaged them in a lively and insightful conversation, answering their questions with his signature quick wit and charm. The exchange was inspiring and delightful, leaving the students energized and motivated.
As a gesture of appreciation, we presented Mr. Nadar with “Chennaiyin Kadhaigal”, a heartfelt chronicle of our school’s milestones and achievements, symbolizing the pride and gratitude we hold for his vision and leadership.

Celebrating Family: Mother’s Day at Early Years
The Early Years celebrated Mother’s Day with heart-warming activities that honoured the special bond between mothers and their children. The day began with an energetic music and movement session, setting a lively tone for the event. Indoors, children joyfully sang rhymes and songs they had practised in their homerooms, delighting their mothers with their heartfelt performances. A fun and engaging voice recognition game brought laughter and affectionate smiles as mothers tried to identify their child’s voice.
One of the most touching moments of the celebration was when children expressed their love and gratitude through simple yet sincere messages, leaving many mothers deeply moved. Adding a personal touch, each child presented their mother with a handmade craft—a heartfelt expression of love and appreciation. The event concluded with a photo session, capturing precious memories of togetherness.
The celebration was a beautiful testament to the strength of familial bonds, marked by love, laughter, and lasting memories.
Celebrating Storytelling and Cultural Heritage: A Special Session with Author Ms. Sudha G. Tilak
Our Kindergarten learners were privileged to attend an engaging storytelling session with renowned author Ms. Sudha G. Tilak, who introduced her latest book, The Great Toy Debate. Through expressive narration, Ms. Tilak brought to life characters and stories that celebrate toys from across India, igniting young imaginations.
A highlight of the session was the vibrant showcase of traditional toys, including Laiphadibi dolls from Manipur, Matryoshka dolls from Russia, cloth dolls from Kolkata, and Rajasthani puppets. The children were captivated by these treasures, eagerly asking thoughtful questions and sharing their own personal toy stories.
This enriching experience not only sparked creativity but also deepened our learners’ appreciation for cultural heritage and the timeless art of storytelling.
