Avviraaj Kalia Brings Laurels in Golf

Avviraaj Kalia, a student of Grade 5 at Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad, has secured the Runner-up position at the Little Masters Junior Golf Tour.

Building on this remarkable achievement, Avviraaj has qualified for two prestigious international tournaments — the Champion of Champions World Invitational in Ireland and the Australian Junior Age Division Golf Championship in Australia.

Adding to his list of accolades, Avviraaj won the 23rd NCR Golf Cup held at Golden Greens Golf Club, Gurugram on 27–28 November, where he was awarded a cheque of ₹20,000 in recognition of his performance.

Avviraaj recently participated in the Junior and Senior Golf Tournament held at Godrej Golf Links, Noida. He emerged as the winner in his category and was declared the overall winner of the tournament.

Further adding to his impressive achievements, Avviraaj has won the Junior Category at the 17th FIA–JCB Annual Golf Tournament 2026 held at the Aravalli Golf Course.

A proud moment for our school community as this young golfer continues to shine and carry his talent onto global platforms.

Jayansh Dhingra Shines at Haryana Open Chess Tournament

Jayansh Dhingra, a student of Grade 7, Shiv Nadar School Faridabad, showcased exceptional skill and composure at the Haryana Open Chess Tournaments held in Panipat on 8th and 9th November 2025. Competing in both Rapid and Blitz formats, Jayansh faced a strong field of over 250 participants from Haryana, Punjab, and Delhi-NCR, including titled players - International Masters (IMs) and FIDE Masters (FMs).

Demonstrating remarkable consistency, Jayansh secured 2nd position in both formats in the Under-12 category, earning trophies and a total cash prize of ₹12,000

We are proud of Jayansh’s achievement and wish him continued success in his chess journey.

Iha Joshi Excels at State and National Championships

Iha Joshi, Grade 9 – Corbett, Shiv Nadar School Faridabad, has demonstrated remarkable consistency and grit across major competitive platforms this season.

At the 27th Haryana Olympic Games, held from 3rd to 5th November 2025 at the Faridabad Sports Complex, Iha secured three medals, showcasing her versatility and competitive spirit:

  • Gold Medal – Women’s Singles
  • Silver Medal – Women’s Doubles
  • Bronze Medal – Mixed Doubles

Building on this momentum, Iha went on to make an impressive mark at the 69th SGFI National School Games (U-17 Tennis) held in Ajmer from 2–6 December 2025, where she represented Haryana and contributed as a key playing member of the team. She clinched the Gold Medal, and her name appears in the official SGFI result list. Her achievement has also been highlighted in local news coverage.

Iha’s dedication and consistency on the court reflect her deep commitment to excellence and bring immense pride to the Shiv Nadar School community.

Hitting the Right Notes at Idole Indienne

Our Middle Years students brought la musique française to life at the French Singing Competition – Idole Indienne, competing in the 12–18 age category as the youngest participants in the group. With confidence and flair, they delivered impressive performances that stood out in a highly competitive field.

We’re especially proud of Dhvani Kailas (MY2), who won 3rd place, earning a trophy, certificate, and gift. Harshini Dixit (MY2) and Aradhana Amarnath (MY3) were also recognised with certificates and presents for their spirited performances.

Their achievement reflects not just their musical talent, but also the growing love for languages and cultures that defines our school community. Félicitations!

At the DAV Culturals, our theatre team set the stage ablaze with an extraordinary act, standing out among 12 schools and over 200 talented performers to secure an impressive 2nd place. A special shoutout to Viraansh Baid, who was awarded Best Actor, and to the team for also earning recognition for Best Lighting—a true reflection of their collective artistry and teamwork.

Meanwhile, at the Babaji Vidhyashram Culturals, Dhvani Kailas captivated hearts with her soulful solo performance, earning a well-deserved 1st place in the Solo Singing category.

A dedicated delegation of 19 enthusiastic students from Grades 7 to 12 (CBSE/IB) embarked on this unforgettable journey, accompanied by Ms Gunisha Khurana and Ms Varsha Nain.

Our students received comprehensive training and meticulous mentorship from our esteemed German faculty — Ms Poonam Yadav, Ms Gunisha Khurana, and Ms Aparna Kale — who expertly guided them through a diverse array of exciting competitions and cultural events.

Demonstrating exceptional passion, collaborative teamwork, and refined linguistic skills, our students brought immense pride to Shiv Nadar School, Gurgaon, by securing the coveted Second Runners-up Trophy – a truly commendable achievement amidst formidable national and international competition!

DeutschUtsav serves as a vibrant and highly anticipated celebration of the German language, its rich culture, and creative expression. The festival commenced with a colourful opening ceremony and culminated in captivating performances by the talented students of Mayo College, reflecting the institution's deep-rooted respect for global cultures and traditions.

Over five thrilling days, students from leading schools across India and beyond, including participants from Dubai and Sri Lanka, converged to engage in learning, perform in various disciplines, and forge meaningful connections. The festival's extensive repertoire featured an array of engaging activities such as Spell Bee, Quiz, Declamation, Film Making, Ad Making, Singing, Poetry Recitation, and dynamic dance workshops.

This immersive experience was a perfect blend of spirited competition, creative exploration, and profound cultural exchange, enriching participants with invaluable learning, joyful interactions, and lifelong memories.

Apple Talk: Micro Changes, Macro Impact

 

Four MYP students from Shiv Nadar School Faridabad represented the school at the Apple EducationTalk 2025 held in Bangalore on 17th and 18th September.
Their visual presentation, titled “Micro Changes, Macro Impact”, showcased a project conceptualized and executed at SNS Forest—the creation of a Butterfly Garden designed to promote biodiversity and environmental awareness.

Using Apple Core Applications, the students demonstrated how small, science-driven ecological actions can bring about meaningful positive change in the local ecosystem. The experience not only deepened their understanding of environmental science but also honed their presentation, collaboration, and communication skills on a national platform, embodying the spirit of innovation and sustainability that defines the MYP framework.

Healthy Eating and Diabetes Awareness Session – Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad

 

A special awareness session on Healthy Eating and Diabetes was held for Grades 6–8 on 13th October at Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad, led by Ms. Gunjan Taneja, a parent and practising nutritionist.

The session focused on understanding diabetes, the impact of food and lifestyle on health, and the importance of balanced eating. Using engaging visuals and discussions, students learned about the effects of excessive sugar and processed foods, and the benefits of including fruits, vegetables, and whole grains in their diet.

The interactive session concluded with an emphasis on mindful eating and regular exercise as essential habits for long-term wellness.
