Summer Live Personal Project
Summer Live Personal Project (SLPP) is a part of our "CONNECTED LEARNING" endeavour committed to the Philosophy of Inquiry in Concept Based Curriculum which is supported by a blended learning approach. The instructional designs created by our educators are focused on developing highly enriching learning experiences.
During the period 11th May to 12th June, we had our “Summer LIVE” engagements where our young learners from Grade 6th to 9th were engaged. With the objective to foster the important approaches to learning age appropriate personal projects were chosen by each individual with the guidance of their mentor teachers. The SLPP was an independent learning engagement.
Learners were provided with a handbook detailing the learning process, user guide on how to create a reflection journal and an assessment criteria checklist to self check their learning progress. Each student was also assigned a mentor who guided them in their learning journey.
The SLPP provides an opportunity for Student Voice and Choice to develop an independent work of their own interest. It gives students immense scope to develop: The Six Cs of Learning for the 21st Century; The Approaches to Learning Skills; Apply these skills to a work of their own interest. Doing the SLPP also helped students to learn the importance of being responsible, empathetic to others and the need to take appropriate actions.
The SLPP culminated into an outcome, reflection journal and presentation by each student.
Work submitted by the students were assessed by their mentors and would form part of their report cards.
