Animals, forests and farms: a season of wonder at Shiv Nadar School Faridabad
Nursery – Culmination of "I Love Animals"
The culmination of the My World theme, "I Love Animals," was held on 17th September 2026 in the centre field at Shiv Nadar School Faridabad. It was a morning filled with excitement, curiosity and plenty of happy chatter as our Nursery children set off on a journey across the animal kingdom.
The children moved enthusiastically between specially created setups representing different regions, including the wild, underwater, polar and desert habitats, discovering a wonderful variety of animals along the way. With confidence and joy, they shared what they had learnt about animal body parts, movements and habitats as they described each animal.
Their ability to connect their learning with expression was clear as they explained their ideas with lovely clarity. The little ones also responded confidently to the critical-thinking questions posed by their teachers, showing their understanding, curiosity and growing ability to apply what they had learnt.
The culmination was a joyful celebration of knowledge, collaboration and creativity, marking a memorable moment in their journey as young explorers.
Kindergarten – Visit to the SNS Forest
Our Kindergarten learners visited the SNS Forest, our very own green sanctuary on campus, and explored their natural surroundings through observation, discussion and hands-on exploration.
The experience was beautifully integrated with Hindi, as learners identified and recalled words beginning with the 'व' sound, making meaningful connections with what they observed around them.
The visit also sparked curiosity for our upcoming Plants theme. Learners observed different plants, noticed features of their surroundings, and shared their ideas about what they would like to learn more about. They were encouraged to ask questions, share their observations and express their wonder about the natural world.
The experience fostered curiosity, observation and language development, while building meaningful connections between classroom learning and the environment around them.
Foundation Year – "I Love Animals" Farm Visit
As a culmination of the theme "I Love Animals," our Foundation Year learners set off on their very first field trip to Devaa Farm on 22nd September 2026. The excitement was evident from the very beginning, as the children arrived at school beaming with joy and anticipation. For many, boarding the school bus was an adventure in itself, as they enjoyed their first-ever bus ride with great enthusiasm.
At the farm, the learners enjoyed a range of hands-on experiences. They fed the animals, took an exciting tractor ride, and watched a tube well in action, giving them a glimpse into different aspects of farm life. Before heading back, they refreshed themselves with fruit juice and snacks.
The visit was both enjoyable and enriching, allowing our youngest learners to explore and connect with nature beyond the classroom. It was a truly memorable first experience, filled with joy, exploration and new learning.
