Learning Beyond Borders: Ms. Urvashi Virmani at FOLSEA 2026

What does meaningful technology integration look like in a school? This question was at the heart of Ms. Urvashi Virmani’s journey to Jakarta, where she represented Shiv Nadar School Faridabad at the Future of Learning Southeast Asia (FOLSEA) 2026 conference, held on 10th and 11th October at Bina Bangsa School. As Head of Department – IT, she brought our school’s story to an international stage and came back with fresh perspectives to share.

At the conference, Ms. Virmani presented her journey of sustainable technology integration, showing how thoughtful, long-term use of technology can enrich teaching and learning. She also connected with educators, school leaders and practitioners from across the region, exchanging ideas on how schools are bringing Apple and other technologies into their classrooms.

Artificial Intelligence came up often in these conversations: how schools are approaching it, how they are preparing teachers and students for a changing landscape, and how technology can make learning richer and more meaningful.

Reflecting on the experience, Ms. Virmani shared that the real value of such platforms lies not only in discovering new innovations, but in looking closely at our own practices and finding ways to make technology integration more meaningful, sustainable and impactful for our learners.
