Cela Fiesta: Celebrating Diverse Literature, Critical Thinking, and Creative Minds

On August 14, 2026, our students engaged in Cela Fiesta: A Melting Pot of Diverse Literature, a virtual Round Square gathering designed to explore literature, language, and culture. Opening with a thought-provoking guest lecture, the event transitioned into dynamic, interactive sessions including Movie Club and Character Defense. Designed to prioritize honest conversation over high-stakes competition, the platform encouraged participants to voice diverse perspectives respectfully. Our students reflected on how the experience expanded their critical thinking—discovering new analytical frameworks for character motivations and building fresh watchlists for future literary discussions. Ultimately, Cela Fiesta proved to be an inspiring celebration of creativity, thoughtful reflection, and intellectual growth.
