Young Chess Star Alishka Rakheja Wins Big and Earns International Rating
Alishka Rakheja of Grade 4 Corbett, Shiv Nadar School Faridabad, has achieved three proud milestones in her chess journey.
Silver Medal at the State SGFI Championship
Alishka represented the Faridabad District Team at the State SGFI Chess Championship held in Panipat on 31st October 2026. The team secured Second Position and won the Silver Medal at the state level.
Prize in a Major FIDE-Rated Tournament
Alishka competed in the Shri Dhanpat Rai Sachdeva Memorial Rapid FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2026, New Delhi, which saw participation from rated players across India. Showing great focus and composure, she secured 2nd Position in the Best Under-09 Girls category and won a cash prize of ₹5,000.
Her First International FIDE Rating
Alishka has also been awarded her first official international rating by FIDE, the World Chess Federation.
