Young Chess Star Alishka Rakheja Wins Big and Earns International Rating

Alishka Rakheja of Grade 4 Corbett, Shiv Nadar School Faridabad, has achieved two proud milestones in her chess journey.

Prize in a Major FIDE-Rated Tournament

Alishka competed in the prestigious Shri Dhanpat Rai Sachdeva Memorial Rapid FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2026, New Delhi, which saw participation from rated players across India. Showing great focus and composure, she secured 2nd Position in the Best Under-09 Girls category and won a cash prize of ₹5,000.

Alishka has also been awarded her first official international rating by FIDE, the World Chess Federation.
