Shiv Nadar School Students Recognised at John Locke Institute Global Essay Competition 2026

Students from Shiv Nadar School, Chennai have earned international recognition at the prestigious John Locke Institute Global Essay Competition 2026, a globally acclaimed academic competition that celebrates independent thinking, intellectual curiosity, and excellence in essay writing.

This year, the competition received an extraordinary 100,227 submissions from 183 countries, bringing together young thinkers from across the world to engage with complex ideas across diverse disciplines.

We are delighted to share that Sahana Radhakrishnan of MY4 (Psychology) and Varshika Karthikeyan of MY4 (Law) have been shortlisted following a rigorous international evaluation, placing them among the top 17.5% of participants worldwide. As part of this achievement, they have been invited to attend the John Locke Institute Awards Ceremony and Black Tie Dinner in London in October, where the final prize and commendation recipients will be announced.

The school was also represented by Ananya Jammi of MY3 (Science & Technology) and Ananyaa N. Madhavan of MY4 (Law), whose participation reflects the depth of inquiry, academic engagement, and confidence demonstrated by our learners.
