Ruhaan Taneja Excels in Chess and Football

Ruhaan Taneja, a student of Grade 4 Corbett at Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad, has continued to excel in competitive chess with impressive performances across tournaments.

He secured the 3rd position in the Under 9 Boys Category at the DPSG Chess Tournament held on 27 April, competing against 30 participants and scoring an impressive 4 out of 5 points. He was awarded a trophy for his performance.

Adding to this achievement, Ruhaan secured the 2nd position in the Under 11 Boys Category at the St. Teresa Chess Tournament held on 31 May 2026, once again scoring 4 out of 5 points. He was awarded a trophy and a certificate for this accomplishment.

Beyond chess, Ruhaan has demonstrated his sporting talent on the football field as well. Representing Manav Rachna Sports Academy, he participated in the Gaya Baba League on 1 August 2026. His team played five matches in a single day and emerged victorious in every match to lift the Gold Cup. Ruhaan made a significant contribution in the final, scoring two goals to help his team secure the championship. He was awarded a medal and a certificate in recognition of his performance.

Ruhaan has been playing chess since the age of six and has participated in several district, state, and national level competitions. His consistent performances across multiple sports reflect his dedication, discipline, teamwork, and growing sporting excellence.
