Senior School Hindi Debate Activity: Fostering Critical Thinking and Confidence in Grades 9 & 10
Between 9th and 14th May, a student-led debate activity based on the Hindi curriculum was conducted for Classes 9 and 10 during Hindi periods. Organized and moderated by students under the mentorship of their teachers, the activity fostered critical thinking, leadership, and teamwork.
Class 9 engaged in a debate on whether struggle is the key to success, inspired by the poem Agnipath, while Class 10 discussed the enduring importance of family in society, drawing from Harihar Kaka. Students presented mature, thoughtful arguments and took charge of all event aspects, including anchoring and timekeeping.
The debates were engaging and respectful, highlighting students’ confidence, sense of responsibility, and analytical skills. This enriching experience encouraged learners to connect literature with real-life perspectives, reinforcing the values of articulate expression and collaborative learning.
Entrepreneurship Challenge – Shark Tank 4.0: Nurturing Innovation and Entrepreneurial Spirit at SNS Faridabad
SNS Faridabad hosted the Entrepreneurship Challenge – Shark Tank 4.0 on May 20th, 2025, for students from Grades IX to XI. The event aimed to foster critical thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurial skills in a supportive yet competitive setting.
Nine teams presented their business ideas to a panel of Sharks—comprising a parent judge, an internal educator, and a student judge—within an 8-minute pitch followed by a 5-minute Q&A session. Participants were divided into two categories: Grades IX and X in one, and Grade XI in the other, ensuring age-appropriate challenges and opportunities for growth.
The challenge provided valuable experience in crafting and delivering pitches, handling tough questions, and honing communication skills. The enthusiasm and determination of these young entrepreneurs inspired the entire school community, promoting a culture of creativity and forward-thinking.
Congratulations were extended to all participants and winners for their dedication and innovative spirit, making the event a significant success and encouraging future entrepreneurial endeavors among our students.
The STEAM Conclave 2025 – A Cosmic Quest: Igniting Young Minds through Space Science and Interdisciplinary Learning
The STEAM Conclave 2025 – A Cosmic Quest, held in collaboration with IUCAA, was a dynamic celebration of space science and interdisciplinary learning for students from Grades 6 to 12. The event opened with a thematic dance on astrophysics, setting an inspiring tone for the day. Keynote addresses by Dr. Somak Raychaudhury and Mr. Hiriyanna S. sparked curiosity and deep thinking among students.
A major highlight was the Pitch Presentations by Grades 9–12, where students proposed innovative ideas for human settlement in space, impressing a panel of scientists and educators with their research, creativity, and confident delivery. For Grades 6–8, the Tatvabodha segment encouraged myth-busting through scientific reasoning, promoting critical thinking and a scientific mindset.
Hands-on workshops by IUCAA on spectroscopy, gravitational lenses, and black holes kept students actively engaged, turning complex theories into tangible learning experiences. The day was filled with exploration, excitement, and insightful dialogue, transforming classrooms into spaces of awe and discovery. The conclave showcased the immense potential of young learners and highlighted the value of interdisciplinary education in inspiring future innovators.
As part of the conclave, an engaging Astrophysics session was held on 20th May by Akshay Bhatia, a Shiv Nadar School alumnus and current Physics student at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. Attended by Grade 11 Science and interested Grade 9 students, the session focused on Newton’s Laws and their role in understanding astronomical phenomena. Drawing from his NIUS camp experience and IIT Delhi internship, Akshay simplified complex concepts, making them relatable and easy to grasp. The interactive session saw enthusiastic participation, culminating in a lively discussion sparked by Akshay’s closing puzzle on Zeno’s Paradox. This session deepened students’ interest in astrophysics and left them inspired to explore the wonders of the universe further.
Exploring India’s Artistic Heritage: SNS Students Visit the National Craft Museum
A group of Grade 11 and 12 students from Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad, accompanied by teacher Mr. Abhinav Yagnik, visited the National Craft Museum as part of an educational initiative to deepen their understanding of Indian art and heritage. The objective was to help students appreciate the aesthetics of artifacts, connect personally with various art forms, and develop a critical perspective towards historical crafts.
The visit began with a guided tour covering the Indus Valley Civilization, Mauryan Art, Gupta Art, and the Miniature Painting section. Students then had the opportunity to explore the museum independently, engaging with the Ivory, Metal, and Coin sections. Throughout the visit, they actively documented their experiences through photography.
Students will now translate their observations and insights into presentations, reflecting on different folk art forms across mediums and timelines. This enriching experience helped bridge classroom learning with cultural history, fostering a deeper appreciation for India’s artistic legacy and complementing the vibrant learning culture at Shiv Nadar School.
Celebrating Storytelling and Cultural Heritage: A Special Session with Author Ms. Sudha G. Tilak
Our Kindergarten learners were privileged to attend an engaging storytelling session with renowned author Ms. Sudha G. Tilak, who introduced her latest book, The Great Toy Debate. Through expressive narration, Ms. Tilak brought to life characters and stories that celebrate toys from across India, igniting young imaginations.
A highlight of the session was the vibrant showcase of traditional toys, including Laiphadibi dolls from Manipur, Matryoshka dolls from Russia, cloth dolls from Kolkata, and Rajasthani puppets. The children were captivated by these treasures, eagerly asking thoughtful questions and sharing their own personal toy stories.
This enriching experience not only sparked creativity but also deepened our learners’ appreciation for cultural heritage and the timeless art of storytelling. Celebrating Family: Mother’s Day at Early Years
The Early Years celebrated Mother’s Day with heart-warming activities that honoured the special bond between mothers and their children. The day began with an energetic music and movement session, setting a lively tone for the event. Indoors, children joyfully sang rhymes and songs they had practised in their homerooms, delighting their mothers with their heartfelt performances. A fun and engaging voice recognition game brought laughter and affectionate smiles as mothers tried to identify their child’s voice.
One of the most touching moments of the celebration was when children expressed their love and gratitude through simple yet sincere messages, leaving many mothers deeply moved. Adding a personal touch, each child presented their mother with a handmade craft—a heartfelt expression of love and appreciation. The event concluded with a photo session, capturing precious memories of togetherness.
The celebration was a beautiful testament to the strength of familial bonds, marked by love, laughter, and lasting memories.

The Joy of Sharing was a remarkable celebration held in honor of our founder, Mr. Shiv Nadar’s birthday, bringing together the entire school community in a spirit of generosity, creativity, and togetherness.
The campus buzzed with vibrant activities and interactive workshops, each crafted with care and collaboration. Guests enjoyed karaoke, while the caricature station—a unique collaboration between our talented students and educators—brought smiles to many faces. The pre-loved book sale, featuring books generously donated by our students, encouraged sustainability while promoting the love of reading.
Art enthusiasts participated in a block painting workshop led by students, adding a creative flair to the event. The dance workshop, also student-led, brought energy and rhythm, making it a crowd favorite. The highlight of the day was the theatre play, "Pandi – the Indie", performed by our educators, captivating the audience with their compelling storytelling and stage presence.
The art auction featured stunning pieces created by both students and educators, while games galore—including toss the ring, memory game, and housie—kept the excitement alive. The photo booth and pebble painting station offered creative outlets and lasting memories.
Adding a meaningful touch, students displayed their creativity with handcrafted stickers, postcards, and eco-friendly seed bombs. The lottery, with exciting prizes generously sponsored by parents, added an extra thrill to the day.
The proceeds from the event were directed towards a good cause, making the Joy of Sharing not just a celebration, but a powerful reminder of the impact we can create when we come together with kindness and purpose.
Sports Meet 2024 (PY3 to MY2)
The spirit of competition, resilience, and sportsmanship took center stage at our Sports Meet 2024, a high-energy event that brought together students from Grades PY3 to MY2. This milestone occasion was particularly special as it marked the first-ever Sports Meet for our Middle Years students, making it an unforgettable experience.
The event commenced with a grand March Past, a display of discipline, coordination, and team pride. Leading the charge was our Sports Captain, setting the tone for the day with unwavering confidence. The House Captains and Vice Captains marched alongside their contingents, their flags held high as they embodied the values of leadership and unity. The synchronized strides and determined expressions reflected the dedication of our young athletes, making for a truly inspiring spectacle.
While our Middle Years students approached the competition with great enthusiasm and determination, our younger athletes from Grades PY3 to PY5 brought an equally vibrant energy to the field. Their boundless excitement and fearless participation in events such as relay races and fun agility challenges made for thrilling moments. Their perseverance and sportsmanship were a reminder that every great athlete starts with a first race, a first finish line, and a first moment of triumph.
Adding to the festive spirit, our parent community joined in for a friendly yet fiercely contested Tug of War, reinforcing the sense of camaraderie and shared celebration of physical well-being.
