Student Exchange Programme - VidyaGyan School -Bulandshaher

 

 

 

Student exchange programs offer broad-based benefits and outcomes for students keen to embark on the journey of learning. Most of these are intertwined and come together to constitute the overarching exchange experience. Some of the objectives of the student exchange program can be enumerated as follows :

EDUCATIONAL

·        Awareness and adoption of alternative, multi-faceted approaches to learning.

·        Analytical and problem-solving skills.

·        Enhanced interest in global issues as well as broader general knowledge.

PERSONAL

·        Self-development and awareness leading to enhanced self-confidence and self-esteem.

·        Maturity and social poise, fuelled by the necessity to confront challenges outside a familiar support network and comfort zone.

·        Integration into another family as well as the development of life-long friendships, fostering an appreciation of home and family.

A tremendous sense of accomplishment upon completion of the exchange program encourages students to develop independent opinions,

The first leg of VidyaGyan Exchange Program commenced on 3rd October, 2019, with the arrival of 81 students and two teachers from VGLA, Bulandshahr at the Shiv Nadar School, Gurugram campus. They were welcomed by their buddies and teachers. Over the next two days, the VGLA students were engaged in a variety of informative as well as entertaining activities.

On day 1, the students participated in activity cum discussion on sifting fake and real information, along with their Shiv Nadar School buddies. Lunch was followed by an entertaining assembly that had been prepared by the Shiv Nadar School and VGLA class 8 students together. It is noteworthy to mention that students gave a memorable performance in the limited amount of time that they

On day 2, VGLA students participated in an array of AHA arts activities, AHA sports activities, tie and dye and folder making activity with lot of vigour and enthusiasm

On day 3, as the time for their departure drew closer, the VGLA students thanked their buddies for the warm and affectionate hospitality that had been extended to them. Parents who came to drop the students back at the school campus expressed the desire to spend more time with the VGLA students. They were touched by the disciplined and dignified manner in which the VGLA students had conducted themselves during their stay at their respective buddy’s residence. Parents were unanimous in their opinion that, this was indeed an enriching experience for everyone involved and they wholeheartedly appreciated the school policy that encouraged such programs. It is noteworthy to mention that most of the parents had packed food for the students (whom they had hosted), for their journey (back to VidyaGyan campus),
