Shafali Verma – Country’s Pride!
Shafali Verma, Grade 11 student at Shiv Nadar School Noida has made our country proud in the most popular sport in India – Cricket. She started playing the game at the age of 15 and became the youngest cricketer to play in Women’s T20 International. In 2021 she became the youngest player, male or female, to represent India in all three formats of International Cricket.
Shafali is Worlds Rank No.1 batsman in ICC Women T20 format as the youngest player.
Her achievements:
· Scored 96 runs in her debut test match. Most runs as debutant in Women test match against England (159)
· Youngest player to play Women Big Bash League from India. She also represented Sixer Women, scored 53 runs and was player of the match against Striker Women.
· Scored her maiden 50 against Australia as the youngest player
· Part of the ODI Women`s World Cup Team, to be held at New Zealand.
