Visit to Parliament by Year 11 and 12 Students

Our students of Grades 11 and 12 observed the 17th Lok Sabha proceedings in its first session post the elections. These students are currently reading Legislature and Executive and had an opportunity to gain experiential understanding of their course topics.

Students observed debate and discussions in the Lok Sabha, as a representative of the three Ds of democracy: Debate, Dissent and Decide. They heard eminent members of Parliament debate on the topic- The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2019.  Post their visit, further discussions were held on the Bill to educate the students on its pros and cons and to inform them about the various aspects of Lok Sabha’s proceedings and procedure of the passage of law.
