ANANDAM 2020

Anandam is a culmination of yearlong learning, where students come together to celebrate and share their learning through different baskets of AHA- Visual Arts, Dance, Music and Theatre. This year the students of Grade 9 to 12 engaged in the celebration virtually, giving their performances from the confines of their homes.

Art gives us freedom of expression and it was only apt that the Aha Festival Management students chose the theme ‘Freedom’ for this year’s Anandam. Incredible range of work was presented by the students on the theme exploring Freedom as a social construct. There were solo and group performances in music and dance where they showed their expressive qualities and conveyed their interceptive decisions. Plays were inspired by stories of WWI, navigating freedom in the times of the Internet and displacements of migrants. The students had discussions with historians, researchers and radio drama artists to understand freedom in different contexts. There was a visual art exhibition by students exploring conventional and unconventional mediums giving expression to their thoughts.

That’s What Classmates Do – Digital Empowerment Programme (Parent led Initiative)

Strengthening the Spirit of Inclusion in times of Connected Learning

The Shiv Nadar School is committed to the creation of an equitable and inclusion based society by empowering individuals to bridge the socio-economic divide. Aligned with this school's philosophy, the parents of Shiv Nadar School Noida came forward and initiated the campaign ‘That’s what Classmates Do’. The campaign was for our neighbourhood students, to continue their learning through online classes just like their classmates.

The aim of this initiative was not to leave any child behind. The parent community, our staff and The Siv Nadar Foundation came together and contributed devices for the connected learning programme. These devices were handed over to the neighbourhood children to ensure they have access to a device and internet connection for an uninterrupted attendance, learning and equal opportunity.
