It was a fun-filled event showcasing various physical activities. It was heartening to see parents across age groups actively engaging in the games and participating in various track and field events, and competing against each other.

The event began with an inaugural address to the audience by our Director Principal Mrs Anju Wal in which the benefits of physical activity and healthy living were promoted expressing the significance of a good physical lifestyle that can inspire students to follow in their footsteps leading to a more active and healthier community. Her presence added to the excitement and enthusiasm of the parental unit and encouraged them to give their best performance.

The parents’ participated in various events such as the 1500-meter race, 400-meter race, 200-meter race, 100-meter race, long jump, and shot put followed by team sports such as Squash and Basketball. The participants displayed their skills and sportsmanship throughout the event, and the spectators cheered them on, creating a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere.

The highlight of the event was the relay race, in which four teams competed against each other. The race was closely contested, with each team giving their best to win the race.

In conclusion, the sports meet had a favourable outcome, with the parental community displaying their skills, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm. The event provided a platform for parents to showcase their talents, build camaraderie, and foster a sense of healthy competition. Also bringing together people from different cultures & background. The school authorities and staff deserve special thanks for organizing and managing the event successfully. We look forward to the next sports meet with great anticipation.

Jabberwocky Workshop

When creativity, knowledge and self-confidence interweave, children can achieve remarkable things. This essence of learning resonated during the entire length of the workshop conducted by Mr. Jonny Walker, Director of Other Wise Education. Mr. Walker works extensively with children to develop their self-expression and self-understanding with the help of poetry and other literary means. The workshop offered an opportunity to Grade 2 students to explore the fabric of nonsensical poetry through the poem ‘Jabberwocky’ by Lewis Carrol. It was an absolute delight to watch the students completely immersed in the fun-filled workshop wherein they enacted and showcased their interpretation of the seemingly gibberish poem.

Synergy Parent Production 2022

Synergy Parent Collective is a space for our parents to collaborate under varied baskets that it offers; facilitated by the Parent Partnership Office. This year the parents chose to present a production with ‘Navrasa’ as the central theme for Art, Music and Theatre. This is the first ever production that the parents of Shiv Nadar School have curated.

The event started with our guest of honour Mrs Usha Garodia, Director of Education Ms Shashi Banerjee and COO Ms Arti Dawar unveiling Virtuosity – an Art Exhibition. Mrs Garodia, grandparent of one of our students, is a ceramist who has done many solo shows across the country and abroad. The Art gallery was curated based on the central theme; parents picked one Rasa each and painted nine life size canvases each depicting an emotion. The exhibits were representative of these artist's expression and interpretation of their chosen ‘rasa’.

The event continued with our parents as Master of Ceremonies hosting the rest of the evening with their wit and charm. A jugalbandi between piano and tabla set the tone of the magical evening. Evoking a feeling of shared emotions, the Sound of Music members along with the School’s didis and bhaiyas presented a medley of songs that created an atmosphere of euphoria.

The Broadway group performed two plays with varied story backdrops. Whilst the play ‘Barsaat’ set in a city took the audience on a nostalgic trip, ‘Heer’ set against the backdrop of a quintessential Punjabi wedding captivated them with all the shades of love in all its splendour.

The Annual Production showcased harmony; fostering a sense of community and camaraderie amongst parents, educators, students and administrators.

'Celebrating Strengths, Powered by Inclusion'

Every year, the 3rd of December is marked as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD). It is an international observance promoted by the United Nations since 1992.

On this day, educators, students and passionate volunteers across the globe spread awareness aiming  to help their community become more compassionate and understanding of the strengths and challenges faced by the differently abled people. The spirit of the day is to ensure that all people in the world have equal opportunities for work, play, health, and success. Differently abled people can be and very often are contributing and valued members of society, and 3rd December is all about appreciating them

The SEN-Counselling Team of Shiv Nadar School Faridabad in collaboration with the CPD Thinktank and the co-scholastic team had dedicated the week from 28th November to the 2nd of December to mark the occasion with the school theme being 'Celebrating Strengths, Powered by Inclusion'.  It was a week full of exciting engagements like storytelling, special assemblies, experiential activities, audio-visuals, special talks by our eminent speakers and so on!
