Educational Trip to ARIES - Grade 9
Shiv Nadar School's commitment to providing an experiential learning environment for our students is reflected in our Outbound Learning Engagements, which aim to align closely with our vision. Recently, a group of 60 enthusiastic Grade 9 students from Shiv Nadar School Faridabad embarked on an educational trip to the Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES) from March 5th to March 9th. The purpose of this visit was to introduce these young minds to the fascinating fields of Astrophysics and Atmospheric Physics, inspiring them to explore and discover the wonders of the celestial world.
ARIES is a prestigious research institute located in Nainital, Kumaon, India, specializing in astronomy, solar physics, astrophysics, and atmospheric science. It operates as an autonomous body under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The educational trip proved to be a tremendously valuable and enriching experience for our students. They had the unique opportunity to observe sunspots through telescopes, explore the Atmospheric Lab, and learn about the various telescopes at ARIES, including the 3.6m Devasthal Optical Telescope, 1.3m Devasthal Optical Telescope, 104 cm Sampurnanand Telescope, Solar Telescope, and the 4m International Liquid Mirror Telescope (ILMT).
Participating in the research activities in Atmospheric Sciences provided students with valuable insights into the interactions between natural and anthropogenic trace species and their impact on climate change. The visit to the Devasthal Observatory was a truly enlightening experience for the students, particularly the demonstration of the 3.6m Devasthal Optical Telescope, which left a lasting impression.
Additionally, the students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity for star-gazing at ARIES, where they observed various star clusters, nebulae, and even the moons of Jupiter. In addition to these scientific experiences, the students also participated in various team activities organized by the Climb Up team, such as the Combustion projectile, Air Crash investigation, and Trash music, further enhancing their overall learning experience.

New Parent Orientation 2024 2025
The essence of the orientation session radiated warmth as we welcomed not just parents from Foundation Years and Nursery but also those from all grades. This special gathering provided a unique opportunity to engage with our Senior Leadership, weaving together threads of connection, shared vision, and cherished values to foster enduring relationships with our parents.
A heartfelt welcome, the session set the stage for an enriching exploration of the overarching philosophy and ethos of the Shiv Nadar Foundation. We delved into the foundation's rich history in education, painting a narrative deeply rooted in the spirit of growth and learning.

New Parents' Orientation
On Tuesday, 6th February 2024, we convened the New Parents' Orientation for the academic year 2024-25, held at the School campus. This orientation session served as an opportunity for new parents to gain a comprehensive understanding of our school's ethos, values, and vision. Led by our esteemed School Leadership, including Col. Gopal Karunakaran (CEO), Mrs. Anju Wal (Director-Principal), and Ms. Bhagya Laxmi Sinha (Head-Parent Partnership), the session aimed to provide valuable insights into the essence of the Shiv Nadar School experience.
Throughout the orientation, parents were guided through the foundational principles that underpin our educational approach. They received an overview of our school's journey, learning about its history and commitment to excellence in education. The session also delved into the core values that shape our community, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, integrity, and innovation in fostering holistic student development.

Daksh Malik, Secures Silver at India Open Taekwondo Championship 2023
We are delighted to share the news of Daksh Malik, a standout Grade 8 student, securing a Silver Medal at the "INDIA OPEN INTERNATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP-2023" in his respective category. This prestigious championship, organized by the All India Taekwondo Federation under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports (FIT India Movement), witnessed Daksh's stellar performance among participants from 8 different countries.
Held at the esteemed Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi, the event showcased Daksh's dedication and skill on the international stage. This achievement comes on the heels of his noteworthy Bronze win at the Open National Taekwondo Championship, underscoring Daksh's consistent excellence in the sport. We are immensely proud to highlight his achievements and showcase an outstanding accomplishment that defines our school community.

Congratulations to Kiarah Agarwal, Ojasvi Singh, Aayra Danish Faruqui, and Naisha Ajmani for their outstanding achievements at the CBSE National Swimming Championship. We are proud of their accomplishments and look forward to witnessing their continued success in the world of competitive swimming.
In the under-11 girls category, the talented quartet comprising Kiarah Agarwal (Grade-5), Ojasvi Singh (Grade-4), Aayra Danish Faruqui (Grade-4), and Naisha Ajmani (Grade-4) showcased exceptional skills in three challenging events: 100m Freestyle, 4x50m Medley Relay, and 4x50m Freestyle Relay.
The swimmers have not only showcased their talent but have also demonstrated the spirit of sportsmanship and perseverance. Their dedication to improvement is evident in the refined timings achieved in the relay events.
