Sports Carnival - Khel Khel Mein
Sports enthusiast as we are, the simpler games of childhood are oft forgotten. A chance to relive the memories of times before the advent of “screen” games was presented by the PRG of grades 1 to 5. The ‘sporty’ carnival was aptly called, “Khel Khel Mein”.
Grandparents, parents and children indulged themselves playing chain-chain, pithu (seven stones), tug of war, stapu, langdi tang, basket-ball, blind fold, dodgeball, musical arms, bucket & ball, dog-in-the-bone, various fun races like catwalk, dress-up, 3-legged, sack, balloon, skipping, running and relay. In fact, one Grandparent scored a perfect score in a single turn at the bucket & ball game. It was heartening to see the Grandparents skipping along with their children smiling and cheering all.

Palak Modi - Artist
In September our Grade XII student, Palak Modi displayed her understanding of nature in her latest exhibition, “Definitely, Maybe” at the Galerie Romain Rolland, Alliance Française de Delhi.
Definitely, Maybe provided Palak with a platform to play with the unpredictability of life, nature, and humans. It is a journey of a 17-year old trying to find structure even in the chaos, or sometimes just embracing the chaos itself. Keeping her faith firmly in the transience of life, she has ventured into portraying the world in different mediums ~ from acrylics and watercolours to foliage and cement. Her work is a blend of realism with abstractions.
Nature undergoes constant transformation. And it is this very process of change that defines the existence of perfectionism. Gaining inspiration from the perfect imperfections of nature and of humans, Palak portrayed the untamed world around us just the way it is ~ pure, raw and free.
Though Palak has been painting since she was just-six-years-old, she always treated painting just like any other hobby; it was no different from dancing and reading for her. However, she genuinely relished spending time in the studio, working with paints and learning the right techniques.

Middle & Senior School
The students of middle and senior school started each morning with an inclusive mindset by watching videos and presentations on people who made it big in life despite the challenges they face. A healthy discussion was witnessed each day in all the classes leading to better awareness of the challenges faced by these famous personalities. In order to deepen their understanding, some students shared wonderful insights with each other and there seemed to be a spark of inclusion felt amongst the students. Special Thought of the Day in the morning assembly made students across the school reflect on the message that was conveyed.
Another special assembly was based on the theme “We Shall Overcome.” There was something different about the air that day. Students formed groups and portrayed what equality meant to each one of them. The soul-stirring inspirational music played in the background swayed the students to an altogether different world and helped them pen down what inclusion meant to them from their hearts. The wonderful activity was concluded by displaying the beautiful artwork outside the reception for everyone to come, see and soak in the words of wisdom shared by these young students who will have an inclusive mindset in the years to come.
Reflection boards were put up in corridors of each floor for students and teachers to pen down their thoughts based on the IDDA week.
