Heartiest congratulations to the graduating batch of Shiv Nadar School Noida students for their outstanding performance in the CBSE Grade XII board exams.
IBDP 2022 Results
We are delighted to share the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) Results of Shiv Nadar School Gurugram for the exam session May 2022 which was released on 6th July 2022. This is our second batch who started the programme with 15 students in July 2020 amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic. For the last two years in DP, 90% of the times, these students have studied online; they went through extremely difficult times, both physically and emotionally but remained committed to their goals. They have shown continued resilience through the challenging research-oriented Diploma Program which culminated in the written exams in May 2022. We are extremely proud of them!
We heartily congratulate all our IB DP students and teachers of the 2022 cohort for their hard work and sustained efforts against all odds. We would like to thank the parents and grandparents for their continued support and encouragement during this rigorous two-year journey.

Welcome Back to School!
The beginning of the session, April 4th, 2022 was no less than a Red Letter Day. The School revived full scale operations after two disruptive, fundamentally different and defining years in Education.
The children returned to school in full numbers. Cutting across age and grade barriers, they all had one thing in common. The deep desire to be on campus, to learn, play, and experience real time impressions and real spaces. I am certain the parents matched their enthusiasm and optimism.
The eight weeks before the Summer Break have been intense and momentous. To re-fuel the school engine, revive school processes, practices and student engagement has been a labour of love.

Apple Training Program
Our teachers are constantly encouraged, empowered and assisted to develop the requisite skill set. Apple Certified Teachers conducted a training session with our teachers across Grades 5 to 12. A total of 44 teachers attended the training which aimed at seamless integration of technology in our teaching/learning practices. Teachers were introduced to different functionalities of native Apps and learnt how to apply the same in our pedagogy.
The Team was lead by Ms A.Lakshmi Priya; She has 20 years of Teaching experience - 12 years of teaching International Curriculum and from 2012 been in the Apple ecosystem.
Leadership Mindfulness Retreat - ‘The Art of Power’
Mindfulness has been an integral part of the learning at Shiv Nadar School. Mindfulness is being aware of the present moment, experiencing our senses, thoughts and emotions. The practice of Mindfulness aims to create peace and harmony within oneself, one’s family, and society.
We are deeply committed to creating a mindful community. To extend the practice to the larger community, a two-day Mindfulness Retreat was organised at the school which was facilitated by the Ahimsa Trust. The Trust represents the Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh and his community in India. The workshop was led by the monastics from the Plum Village community of Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh leading the session through a Day of Mindfulness, titled ‘The Art of Power’.
The first day of the session was organised for the core group members, parents and staff of all the three campuses and was on live telecast. The second day session was organised for the Leadership across Shiv Nadar Family. The session was curated for the leaders to use the various ways to practice mindfulness in everyday life as mindfulness practices are increasingly being recognized as an essential support for corporate professionals.
Scientific research has corroborated that Mindfulness Practices increase attention and concentration, enhance social emotional learning and interpersonal awareness, decrease stress, depression, anxiety and hostility and promotes a sense of wellbeing and enhances inner resilience.

Eid and May Day Celebrations
Eid was celebrated by our Early and Primary Years students with a lot of zest and fanfare. The celebration was an earnest attempt to imbibe in our learners the concept of Unity in Diversity. The children were made cognizant of the fact that it is a festival of prayers, joy, brotherhood and charity.
The day began with the musical assembly ‘Sargam’ where ‘Qawwali’ and other renditions filled the atmosphere. Eid Mela was set up in the Square Circle keeping in mind the essence of the festival. Different stalls were there for students to explore: mehendi, lemonade, games, tattoo booth; the bangles corner ensured that each girl got a set of bangles which matched with her dress while the boys looked elegant with their Taqiyah or skull cap.
As the learners returned to their homerooms, their facilitators opened the discussions around Eid and the reason behind its celebration. Math and Languages were integrated in the activities planned for children. Children were given fake money to spend on the stalls. Later they gave an account of their expenses. They also wrote a reflective piece on their experience in the language of their choice.
Alongside students celebrated May Day by doing shramdaan; a contribution from their side. They cleaned their learning spaces and ensured that the staircase and ramp they use is clean. The activity was designed to forge a better understanding of the labour community among our students to respect and appreciate their efforts.
