The Journey of Team Aratic in F1 School Nationals

Keeping the best confident foot forward in the competitive world is something the students of Shiv Nadar School Noida are habituated with. A total of 3 teams with 18 participants (Grades VI to IX) from the school had made it to the Nationals of F1 in Schools, putting together a preparation journey of a year; the total number of participating schools was 32.

F1 in Schools is an international STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) competition for school children, in which groups of 3–6 students have to design and manufacture a miniature car out of the official F1 Model Block using CAD/CAM design tools.

Team Aratic, a group of enthusiastic students from Grade IX won the Best Pit Display award - Newcomer.

The proud Team Aratic consisted of:

1.   Tvisha Raj

2.   Oorjit Mahajan

3.   Vaidehi Saxena

4.   Vani

5.   Siddharth Shivkumar

6.   Ekansh Aggarwal

The entire year long journey for achieving this accomplishment meant a lot to the students. They learnt about the specifications of the product and the competition through the club F1.

The students performed to the best of their abilities and showed exemplary team work, despite the demanding circumstances of Covid-19. In the individual sub-categories, they were able to explain the utility and need of their prototypes in the virtual world and also explained their growth journey of all the members as a group.
