Hybrid Learning
The reopening of the school campus has been planned and curated in a deeply considered and measured way. For all grades, we have first begun with the Sports Program. To experience the campus, enjoy the vastness and openness especially when the children have been in a 'locked in' mode, has helped them a great deal to reorient, recalibrate, return to campus, with the new safety protocols in place.
Sharing a glimpse.
In Conversation with Ms. Bulbul Sharma
On 27th October, 2021, an interactive online author's session was organized with Ms. Bulbul Sharma , a versatile author and painter. She has written five collections of short stories, a novel, non-fiction and some of the most-loved books for children, including Tales of Fabled Beasts, Gods and Demons and The Ramayana.
The students witnessed a narration of short stories from her book, Fantastic Creatures in Indian Mythology and had a wonderful opportunity to interact with her. Discussions about the mythological creatures sparked students' imagination and curiosity. The students also greatly benefitted when the author shared some insights on essential writing techniques which left an impressionable impact on young minds.
Walk the Talk - Mr. Mr. Praneet Singh
Walk the Talk is one such initiative wherein experts from different fields come to talk to students. Such sessions serve to dispel existing queries regarding certain career choices, as well as to inform students on new and emerging professional and academic domains. These sessions are primarily for grade IX and X for them to explore various careers that exist. One such conversation was with Mr. Mr. Praneet Singh on EMERGENT CAREERS IN THE AI DOMAINTED WORLD.

For the last few weeks, the footfall of grades 4 to 8 on campus for structured games and team sport activities has been a delight to witness. We start with Sports Classes for Grades 1 to 3 as well from today.
Encouraged by the success of our upended safety provisions and teacher turn out ratio on the campus.
We are keen to open in a staggered and balanced way, without haste, keeping safety of all stakeholders in sharp focus.

School Tour of the Early Years spaces
South Block at Shiv Nadar School Faridabad, came alive with wonder, curiosity, greetings, chatter, play, questions, explorations when our youngest learners visited their school for the first time.
The students and their parents were invited to school in small groups and were taken for a tour of the Early Years spaces in South block.
Delighted to meet and interact with their HRT, the little ones spent time with them in their classrooms. Some sat on their chairs at the table and asked “हम activities कब करेगें?” while the others were busy observing the display boards and exploring their classrooms.
The children enjoyed themselves exploring the play area. Happy to be on the swings, slides, see-saws, a few of them even attempted to climb the rope ladders. The library had them settle into the bean bags while some identified the books with their parents. At the amphitheatre there was wonderful chatter and smiles as the children descended the stairs to be on the stage.
The parents appreciated the school for organizing the visit and requested for such visits to be organized once a week or even once a month for a longer duration of time.

Independence Day 2021
Today, on the occasion of India's 75th Independence Day, most of us will be cherishing the idea and ideals of freedom even more, having had a taste of what a curb on basic freedom feels like in the last couple of months.
As we design the future, let us carry with us the same virtues that our leaders held so dear during the freedom struggle.
Together, let us strive towards an education and societal pradigm that gives us independance of thought, resolve and action.
Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad hoisted the National Flag on the school campus with few students, parents and faculty members. The event was also live for our children to witness the event from their respective homes. Here is a glimpse: https://youtu.be/9AnFm9NOa3U

The foot-tapping song ‘Jeruselama’ was performed by teachers who taught the batch over the years to remind them of the spirit of hope and resilience that characterizes the essence of an SNS student. In keeping with our tradition, students were presented with mementos.
The closing of the online ceremony was marked by the choir students singing a song wishing their peers good luck for the future.
Joy of Sharing 2021
The Joy of Sharing Week marks the birthday of our Founder Mr. Shiv Nadar. Drawing inspiration from his vision and mission we aim at crafting yearlong engagements to make students understand their social responsibility and empower them in making their world a better place. The joy of Sharing is an integral part of the curriculum at Shiv Nadar School which includes learnings that extend way beyond the classrooms and textbooks, a festival of philanthropy to establish the spirit of sharing and giving amongst students.
The Joy of Sharing decennial celebration commenced with the students from all the Cohorts participate in project-based experiential learning. These projects are designed to give them exposure to the world outside by giving them an opportunity to be a part of initiatives that help them understand and build capabilities. While the week marked the beginning of the journey with smaller engagements, the students will be engaged in various activities throughout the year.
Early Years
The Early Years students learned the importance of sharing through various activities. During the connected learning sessions, they shared - books, songs, artwork, and jokes with each other to bring a smile to everyone’s face. Storytelling sessions were organised with founder parents, students, teachers, staff, and alumnae who took them down the memory lane of their journey at the Shiv Nadar School. As a gesture of gratitude students made souvenirs for the ones who help them and for the family members whom they have not met for a long time.
Primary Years
The students celebrated the Joy of Sharing Week with Didis and Bhaiyas (support staff) through online sessions. They played instruments as a gratitude gesture and were treated with a wonderful story session by them. The session ended with sharing the cards that the students had made for them. There were also various sessions conducted by parents – storytelling, panel discussion, community service, art workshops. The artwork by students is collated and presented on the Padlet.

Junior Student Council members conducted an interactive session with the students of Nursery and KG (Early Years. The Council Members took the little ones on a virtual tour of the school and shared their own experiences of many joyful moments spent in school with friends and teachers. The Early Years students were overjoyed as they danced to lively music and enjoyed the interactive games and activities.
Middle School
The week commenced with a discussion with the students on Joy of Sharing, aimed at creating Awareness and Action. Children in each habitat decided upon a set of tasks to reach out to people who may need small blessings. They created a Wall of Gratitude to document their small acts of compassion in the form of a write-up with pictures and videos.

Senior School
During the Joy of Week our senior students embarked on a Student-Led Social Impact Initiative called Prarabdha - A Beginning. The objective of this year’s initiative focused on the creative and entrepreneurial skills of the students. Through this initiative, the school aims to inculcate human values in our students, allowing them to experience the inherent joy contained in the act of sharing. The students also got a chance to lead their teams, interact with multiple stakeholders and chisel their leadership skills along the way. The yearlong engagement culminated in November and an exhibition was put up by the students of the hand crafted products to raise funds.
