Career Guidance Centre- Sessions at a glance for August

The Career Guidance Centre at Shiv Nadar School Noida conducted month-long sessions in August for its senior school students to help them make informed decisions about their future course of study.

We had Ms. Amber, International Admissions Counselor, Michigan State University; Ms. Bhattacharya, Country Advisor, University of British Columbia, Canada and Mr. Himanshu Sharma, Assistant Assistant Manager of Anant Fellowship Program, Anant University who interacted with students from CBSE and IB and shared information with respect to admission requirements, programs offered, financial aspect, scholarships, work opportunities after graduation and other queries of the students.

Mr. Moustafa, International Recruitment Manager at Huron University conducted a workshop on MUN Negotiation Skills on 21st August. He is a published author in Huron’s international, public undergraduate research journal - “The Liberated Arts”. He gave various examples and case studies of negotiation projects, the steps involved in the process and positional bargaining. Towards the second half of the session, Mr. Moustafa did a hands on activity with students. The students enjoyed participating in the activity and came up with some really interesting opinions.

A session on CIALFO Training for Grade 12 students was held to make Grade 12 students well versed with the online portal CIALFO. It was primarily for the focused group of students who are looking at applying to overseas Universities. They were given a detailed understanding of the functions of this portal. This was a much required session for the batch of 2019-20 to help them independently work on the CIALFO portal and put together all academic data on one platform.

Career Fair was organized by KIC UnivAssist for Grade 11 and 12 students. Renowned universities like California Baptist University, Florida International University, New York Film Academy, Ohio University, San Diego State University, University Of Illinois, Chicago and many others participated.
