Reflections EKA Vol.3

This year was a year of synergies where parents came together for collaborative work. ‘Brahmaand’ with ‘Navrasa’ as its central theme emerged and the parents presented it through Art, Music and Theatre. The same theme was taken forward in the third edition of Reflections EKA - a book by the parents, for the parent; presenting a plethora of human emotions and expressions, promoting the universal feeling of well-being through a contemplative and better understanding of one's self.
The third edition of Reflections EKA was unveiled at an event, celebrating our parents who graciously contributed to the book. This edition came to life not just through the articles and poems by our parents, but the illustrations were also drawn from the canvases painted by our parents based on ‘Navrasa’ for Virtuosity - An Exposition which unfolded during the Annual Production last year. The highlight of Reflections EKA has always been our parents, who are involved in the process of making the book from design to printing; an absolute parent-led initiative.

Breaking barriers in education: How we can nurture our children for a truly global society
Shilpa Khadse, Vice Principal, International Curriculum, Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad expressed her views on Breaking barriers in education: How we can nurture our children for a truly global society.
Nurturing children to think, feel and connect beyond physical boundaries, mental barriers, and numerous virtual compartments will go a long way in creating a generation of thinkers who will have the collective ability to mend the world and create a truly global society
The word ‘citizens’, originally meaning inhabitants of a city, went on to become inhabitants of a nation. It is amazing how it binds people across cultures, languages and beliefs. I wonder if the word citizen has expanded its horizons or if people have come closer. As the world today is becoming more and more borderless, we are already citizens of the world if we can see it.
