All India Invitational Badminton Tournament

Aumkaran of Grade VIII won the Silver Medal at All India Junior Badminton championship which was held at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. 20 participants qualified from all over India for the championship. The All India 6th Ranker received his medal from the world Champion P V Sindhu.

The Shree Debate - 2019

Three students from Middle school participated in a debate competition in Shri Ram School Aravali on 14th August 2019. Participants from 8 schools took part in this Hindi debate. Akshita Agrawal from our school secured the title of The Best Speaker. She spoke against the motion and the topic was- ' Desh bhakti desh me rehkar hi dikhai jaa sakti hai'.

Art competition “Collage Art Talent Hunt -2019”

Our children participated in the Art competition “Collage Art Talent Hunt -2019” at Delhi Collage of Art on 19th July.

  • Manasvi Vij: 2 Lakh scholarship and 1st Position
  • Samya Arora: 1 Lakh scholarship
  • Rohit Singh: 1 Lakh scholarship

Scholarship can be availed in form of fee compensation by the students only when he/she has completed Senior school (class XII) and thereafter is willing to apply for Graduation / Diploma / Hobby classes from Delhi Collage Of Art.

Inter School Singing Competition

Our school emerged as winners at the Inter School Singing Competition at Eicher School. Total 19 schools participated. 

Behes - Open Debate Competition

Forty-eight students of Shiv Nadar School Gurugram participated in the Behes Open Debate Competition in teams of three. 21 schools took part in a round-robin style debate to vie for a place in the quarter-finals. After three rounds of debate where the students were judged by a Behes representative, seven teams out of the sixteen who participated went ahead to the knockout rounds. After an intense battle of wit and knowledge, Shiv Nadar School students won both the Junior (Cub) debate championship as well as the Senior (Lion) debate championship. Agastya Rao, Abhimanyu Rao, and Mihir Rao, all from Grade 8 took home the first place for the cubs, while Shreaya Malhotra and G. S. Charita of Grade 12 and Drisha Dadheech of Grade 10 walked away victorious in the Lions Division.

Award

MUN: Congratulations to Yagna Gupta

1. Four schools participated in MUN: SNS Gurgaon, SNS Faridabad, Scottish High School, and Lotus Valley School.

2. One of the delegate from SNS, FBD, Yagna Gupta, was part of the UNEP committee. The agenda there was Implementation of Paris Agreement.

3. Three other delegates from SNS FBD(Ria Singh, Lakshita Sharma and Ananya Das Sharma) were part of the GA4.

4. All four delegates received participation certificates.

5. Yagna Gupta won a medal for Excellent diplomacy, and a certificate for a resolution that was drafted.

District Under-10 Chess Tournament

Aarav Balyan 4 Sariska has secured Second Position in District Under-10 Chess Tournament scheduled on 20th and 21st July. 50 Schools participated in tthe Tournament.

Our Young Champions: Basketball - Under 14 (Girls)

Shiv Nadar School, FBD hosted its very first Under 14 Girls (Sub Junior) District Basketball Championship on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th July, 2019 organized by the Basketball Federation of India.

A total of 11 teams participated in this tournament:

We won the finals against St. Anthony’s Secondary School with a scorecard of 35 – 8. Suhana Gupta was adjudged as the Most Valuable Player and Paavani Goel as the Most Promising Player. We played against DAV- Sector 14 in the qualifying round (Score: 24- 10) and against Bansi Vidya Niketan in the Semi-Finals (Score: 48 – 16).

It was delightful to watch our young scholars play with complete dedication and true sportsmanship.
