PERSPECTIVA - School Debate

Gyanshree School organized Perspectiva Gyanshree - The All India Haldiram’s Invitational Debate. Day 1 of the prestigious debate started with the lamp lighting ceremony. The Principal, Ms. Brinda Ghosh warmly welcomed the participating teams and the judges. The esteemed panel of judges comprised Ms. Jennifer Nandi, Dr. Vijay Mittal, Ms. Mahima Kaul and Mr. Salil Singh, out of 21 teams from some of the finest schools all over India, 6 teams made it to the Final Round of the debate. Day-2
The prestigious national level debate hosted by Gyanshree School, Noida, saw 6 shortlisted schools compete for the sought after trophy of the Best Debating Team. The topic for the day was 'I am the framework of everything that happens in my life.' The esteemed panel of judges comprised Ms. Vibha Chauhan, Mr. Anand Prakash and Ms. Mahalaxmi Pavani. Ms. Rina Ray IAS (Retd.), the Chief Guest, graced the occasion with her presence. All participants demonstrated excellent oratory skills and spoke with great confidence and conviction. Army Public School, Noida won the Best School Trophy, Veer Rohilla of Army Public School, Noida won the Best Debater, Geetika Lath from Daly College, Indore was adjudged the Best Interjector, and Neeyati Saini from Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad was awarded the Most Promising Debater.

Daksh Malik of Grade 7, won Bronze at The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition (QCEC) 2022. He wrote on the topic, ‘Job description for a superhero needed to solve a problem in your community’. The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition (QCEC) is the world’s oldest international writing competition for schools and has been delivered by the Royal Commonwealth Society since 1883. There were around 26,000 entries to this year’s QCEC competition. The award was given by The Royal Commonwealth Society, United Kingdom.

Aanya Bhatia of grade 8 has been selected for the Haryana Team in 47th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship 2022. Basketball Federation of Haryana selected top 12 girls from all over the Haryana and our Aanya is one of them.
Coaching camp of Haryana Team for the 47th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship 2022-23 will be conducted from 3rd to 12th November 2022 at Hisar, Haryana.

Prayaan Bhatia, Grade 5 - Ranthambore secured Silver Medal in the '4th HARYANA STATE QWON KI DO (M & W) CHAMPIONSHIPS 2022-2023' held at Dr. Mangal Sen Multipurpose Gymnasium Hall (Sports Complex), Rohtak on 30th October.

Manaasvi Vij, our grade XI student won Gold Medal in the 50-meter and 200-meter Butterfly Swimming Events in the SGFI State Games which is going on in Ambala.
She has now secured a spot in the Student Games Fedration India - National Games wherein she will be representing our Shiv Nadar School.

Viraj Continues to be No.1 Rank Holder

Viraj Sing Goel, Grade 7 won a “GOLD Medal in the 37th Delhi State Shooting Championship” that was held at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range, Delhi.
He competed in the Under 16 Sub Youth ISSF Air Rifle Category and scored 602.4. With this win, Viraj continues to be the Number 1 Ranked Player in Delhi in the Under 16 age category for the second consecutive year.

Arjun Mehta, Grade 3 has recently started playing and played his first tournament and reached the semi-finals of the National Squash Tournament, Squashters U-9 under the aegis of Squash Racquets Federation of India this week, organised at Hamdard School.
At this tournament, Arjun also played in the U-11 age group (along with his age group of U-9) where he also won one match. Overall, 500 players from 21 states participated in this squash tournament across multiple age groups. After playing half a dozen challenging matches, he ranked 4th and was awarded with a trophy.
Rhea Chadha’s paper published in the academic journal IOSR-JHSS

Rhea Chadha, Grade 10 has written a paper that was published in the academic journal - the IOSR Journal of Humanities and Social Science (IOSR-JHSS). She worked with Harvard Student Agencies (HSA) and Learn with Leaders (LWL) to understand the process of academic research. Her research paper was on the kind of environment Indian women authors face in their writing efforts. She interviewed 15 Indian women authors as part of her research, created a research design to understand the environment these authors faced and summarized the process and the results in the paper. She has herself co-authored the book 'Life as a Teacher' in the year 2021.
Her paper ‘Inspiring Indian Women Authors: Creating a supportive environment’ was accepted by the International Organization of Scientific Research (IOSR) after a double-blind peer review to maintain the standard of its journals.

Vedang Darbari - A Young Mathematician

Vedang Darbari , our young Mathematician from Grade 7 ranked among Asia's Top Ten in Clash of Pi, Singapore. Clash of Pi the Asian Math Circuit is the world’s most comprehensive and advanced mathematics circuit for students of Grades 3-12. Over 1000 schools in Asia and over 300,000 students in 16 countries have adopted the circuit and participate in it making it the most widely regarded competition in the region.
