Shiv Nadar School proudly represented India on the global stage at the 8th NYC Green School Conference 2024, held at Cornell University, New York on September 23 & 24, 2024. This prestigious conference, themed “Addressing Global Challenges Through Greening Education,” gathered international leaders in sustainability and education to explore the crucial role schools play in shaping a sustainable future.
Our Director Principal, Mrs. Anju Wal, delivered a keynote address on “Sustainability as a Driving Principle at Shiv Nadar School,” where she presented the school’s pioneering initiatives in sustainability, including:

Rhythm Bhagoria Shines in iCode Global Hackathon: Secures 15th Place Nationally

Rhythm Bhagoria from Grade 9 Corbett participated in the prestigious iCode Global Hackathon, showcasing his exceptional talent in Python programming. Competing against 1,290 students in the National Round, Rhythm secured an impressive 15th place, marking a significant achievement in this highly competitive event.
He will soon be representing the school in the International Round, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to him for this remarkable feat. We wish Rhythm the very best of luck as he advances to the next stage of the competition!
Avviraaj Kalia Shines at the 3rd Uttar Pradesh Open for Juniors and Amateurs

Avviraaj Kalia of Grade 4 at Shiv Nadar School Faridabad has emerged as the winner in Category D at the 3rd Uttar Pradesh Open for Juniors and Amateurs, held on the 25th and 26th of September 2024. His remarkable performance and dedication have set a high standard of excellence.
In addition, Avviraaj secured 2nd place in the Haryana Golf Tournament held on the 9th and 10th of October and was the 2nd runner-up in the 10th IGU Sub Junior Feeder Tour on the 16th and 17th of October.

Shiv Nadar School Faridabad Triumphs at Singapore International School’s Music Competition

Participating in the event at Singapore International School, Mumbai was a truly memorable experience for our talented students. With 288 participants from various prestigious IB schools, the competition was intense, yet the atmosphere was brimming with excitement, passion, and a shared love for music.

We are proud to share that six talented students from Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad represented the school at the 6th Edition of ISSO National Games 2024-25, held on 20th and 21st September 2024 at Amity Global School, Gurgaon. Our young fencers delivered outstanding performances, bringing home multiple medals and demonstrating their skill and dedication in the sport.

CBSE North Zone II Tournament (Under-14 Category)
Held at Sangrur, Punjab (11th-13th September 2024)
Jayansh Dhingra from Grade 6 at Shiv Nadar School Faridabad delivered an outstanding performance in the CBSE North Zone II Chess Tournament. Competing in the Under-14 category, Jayansh demonstrated exceptional skill and focus, winning all 6 out of 6 matches. His remarkable performance earned him the title of Board Winner for Board No. 3.
One of the highlights of his success was defeating a player with a FIDE rating of over 1700, showcasing his ability to challenge and outplay more experienced opponents. This victory marks Jayansh's second consecutive year of being declared the Board Winner, having achieved the same distinction last year in the CBSE U-11 Mixed Category Tournament.
Inter-School Chess Tournament (Under-11 Open Category)
Held at KR Mangalam School, Faridabad (20th July 2024)
In the Inter-School Chess Tournament hosted by KR Mangalam School, Faridabad, Jayansh once again proved his mastery over the game. Competing in the Under-11 Open Category against 65 players from various schools across Faridabad, Jayansh scored 5.5 points out of 6 matches, securing 1st Position in the tournament.
His consistent performance and ability to excel in high-pressure situations continue to establish him as a rising star in the chess community. Shiv Nadar School is incredibly proud of Jayansh’s accomplishments and wishes him continued success in future tournaments.
Team Faridabad Triumphs with Gold at SGFI 2024 Girls U-17 Tennis Tournament

Team Faridabad secured the Gold Medal at the SGFI 2024 Girls Under-17 Tennis Tournament, held in Panchkula from 16th to 18th September 2024. The team featured standout players from Shiv Nadar School Faridabad, with Iha Joshi and Kaavya Parihar playing key roles, alongside three players from DPS Sector 19, Faridabad.
Iha Joshi, a 13-year-old from Shiv Nadar School Faridabad, paired with Anandita Upadhyay from DPS, showcased exceptional skill throughout the tournament. Despite the challenging Under-17 category, Iha’s performance was remarkable as she and her partner powered through the rounds, defeating Yamunanagar in the Quarterfinals, Karnal in the Semifinals and finally triumphing over Gurugram in a hard-fought Final.
Iha's maturity and determination, despite her young age, impressed all in attendance. Her exceptional performance has now earned her the honor of representing Haryana State in the Nationals, bringing immense pride to her school and state.

Shiv Nadar School Faridabad Students Shine at the Asian Fencing Expo in Hong Kong
Ameya Kunwer and Ruheen Lamba from Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad campus, were selected and proudly represented India at the prestigious Asian Fencing Expo in Hong Kong. Competing in the U-12 and U-14 categories, respectively, they showcased their remarkable skills on an international stage. Alongside them, four other young fencers from Faridabad—Maira Verma, Avni Sehgal, Veronica Virmani, and Anaya Kunwer—represented India in the U-10 category, making their mark in the event.
Their participation not only highlights individual dedication and talent but also underscores the growing presence of young athletes from Faridabad in international competitions.
Shiv Nadar School Faridabad Hosts Successful SGFI District Football and State Fencing Games
Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad, recently had the privilege of hosting two major sports events: the SGFI District Football Games and the SGFI State Fencing Games. These events highlighted the athleticism and sportsmanship of young talents from Faridabad and across Haryana.
The SGFI District Football Games saw participation from 32 schools, with students competing in the U-14, U-17, and U-19 boys' categories. The event provided a platform for budding footballers to showcase their skills and teamwork. The level of competition was high, with each school contributing to the vibrant atmosphere. This event underlined the growing talent within the Faridabad district and the enthusiasm for football among young athletes.
Simultaneously, the SGFI State Fencing Games for girls in the U-14, U-17, and U-19 categories were held at the campus, bringing together fencers from 22 districts across Haryana. The event was a showcase of precision and skill as young female athletes competed passionately. Faridabad’s own Arshia Sethi and Saivi Nair claimed gold medals in the U-14 and U-17 categories, while Avni Sethi and Meher Kocchar took bronze in U-17. In the U-19 category, Swinzal Taneja won a silver medal, adding to the district’s achievements.
