ECONOMITE 2026 – Annual Economics and Commerce Fest

Ayanna Kapoor of Grade 12 secured First Position and was adjudged Best Speaker in The Symposium, the flagship event of the festival, at Economite ’26, an inter-school Economics Festival hosted by Modern School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, with participation from 15 schools across Delhi-NCR. Ayanna delivered a three-minute speech on the motion, “Should a global wealth tax be imposed on billionaires to reduce income inequalities?” Taking a stand against the motion, she presented a well-researched argument supported by real-world examples and economic reasoning.

Adding to the school's achievements, Abhimanyu Singh and Devaryya Bansal of Grade 12 Sariska secured First Position in Trade Master, a simulated stock market trading competition. Working with a virtual investment portfolio of ₹1 lakh, the duo had two hours to navigate a dynamic market simulation involving 51 companies listed on the National Stock Exchange. Participants were required to interpret rapidly changing market information, analyze price movements, and make strategic investment decisions within the given time frame. Through effective coordination, adaptability, and a strategic shift in their trading approach, Abhimanyu and Devaryya successfully grew their portfolio and finished with an impressive gain.

These achievements reflect the students’ economic understanding, critical thinking, confidence, and ability to apply classroom learning to real-world scenarios, bringing immense pride to the school.
